I think it was better than average, definitely better than Doom 3, which was like Doom with a new coat of paint and not even as scary. Farcry had awesome environments, excellent graphics for it's time, and wide open gameplay. The only thing that was average about it was it's storyline.
It was a great game...It's story was just a bit lacking. I didn't find the end horribly difficult.
That's why Epic should have or make a PC-games only studio. So they can make the best quality games and still make lower-spec ones for consoles. Not because it would make them more money but because it's what they want to do.
Consoles: Quantity > Quality
PC: Quality > Quantity
PC's will always have the best games, the best graphics, and the best features. I'll take quality over "doing what everybody else is doing".

A HD Wii would only cater more to hardcore first adopters...to bad Nintendo already told them to kiss their a$$ when they decided to only make casual games.
I've got this game set to full. I wouldn't say this game has the best graphics I've ever seen, but I would say that it has one of the best atmospheres. This game is intense and hard, but I can't stop playing it.
@actionjackson- I can wait 5-8 months to buy hardware when the price goes down. Can you wait 5-8 years to purchase a game console when it's price goes down?
I was never a huge Halo fan, but I love RvB. I have almost every episode on my IPod.
Halo was always a little mediocre for my taste, and I have a PS3 so I'll be trying GTA.
You bash PC but at the same time are overjoyed that your consoles are becoming more and more like them including more expensive. You can't play all the games unless you buy each console. You can't upgrade anything but your hardrive. You can only run programs that the manufacturer allows you to. You may be able to use mods but you can't create them. Powerfull PC components get cheaper all the time, and new console are only getting more expensive every harware cycle.
Consoles can never surpass PCs, because they would just become PC's themselves. The only thing seperating consoles from PCs now are upgradable hardware, functions beyond gaming, software restricted to manufaturer of choice, and the freedom to mod. If consoles incorporated these features and still tried to do exclusive games it would be like Dell and Gateway only making their own games.

There is no question that this is a good game, PC gamer also gave it a 95%. I think though that giving the game a perfect score makes it difficult to critique even small problems.
I wonder if they included the cost of 2 years of Live memberships and all those micro-transactions?
None of those games mentioned are currently out on a next-gen system(Wii is not a next gen system), or are known for their graphical prowess, besides FF, graphics being the subject of this article. I never ment to show that PC games sold more than all games, just that PC gaming is not a dying industry.
How many console games sold 9 million copies? I wasnt' relating the total number of PC gamers to WOW, just the fact that it has sold more than any console game I can think of including Halo and Halo2. I'm not sure how many PC gamers there actually are, but it's probably more than you think.
This is a must for me, but I think I might have to play it on DX9 for a little while before I get a DX10 card.
