Actually, those exclusives you "lose" (you don't really lose them, you choose not to get them because you refuse to get a Wii) will be played in a truely next gen way by Wii owners, while 360 and PS3 owners play a last gen way.

I can remeber the Legend of Dragoon music much more clearly than I can remember FF7, as well. FF7 might have had better music, but that doesn't always make it more memorable.

Besides that, I'm not sure I know anyone that doesn't own a DVD player, though I know many people with a perfectly good PS2.
Just because you can play an HD format in your gaming console doesn't mean you don't want a standalone player, just as because many people can play DVDs on their PS2 doesn't mean they didn't get a standalone DVD player.

Capcom has made good money from the Wii, and, shockingly, it has been with good games.
Third paties can do well on the Wii, and Capcom is showing that.

The Wii encourages chance taking, because its not a $20 million hole you dig yourself if you take a leap and it doesn't work out.
Think of Boogie, for instance. EA took a chance, it didn't work out, but everyone learns a little and no one is out that much money. You would never find that on the 360 or PS3 because development costs are just too high.

This isn't some chance to use the Wii to make a quick buck. This is a proven franchise and the real team working on a game for the Wii.
No, it won't be the PS3 as far as graphics go, but I think we can still expect some really good graphics, since Capcom will probably push the Wii more than any 3rd party so far.

People think that developers should take a big risk by making a huge game for the PS3 to make the consoles move.
Halo moved the 360. Zelda moved the Wii. Sony needs to have a console mover that's not dependant on a third party that may abandon them because of the high risk low reward nature of the PS3 as it stands.
The interesting thing, I think, though, is that the PS3 is still below the Wii.
Given the same price point, the 360 would prbably bearly be holding on to second right now (thanks to the year lead), with the PS3 taking over before the year end, and the Wii on top.
Still, quite interesting to see the PS3 does rank above the 360, for Americans, even.
