Well, don't you know?
Good Wii reviews are MS viral marketing, trying to pull sales away from the PS3, because only together can Nintendo and MS beat Sony, so MS helps the Wii.
Only poor reviews for the Wii are honest, because Wii games aren't even games, at all.
I don't get the logic, but that's what I'm told.
Personally, I had Legends for the GC. I still give it a nice playthough every now and then, sticking it into my Wii.
However, I personally put it above FF7 (and FF6 and FF3, both of which I think are better than FF7). Top three:
1. Ocarina of Time
2. StarCraft
3. Skies of Arcadia
I seriously think the game is that good.
As for it being multiplatform, I wouldn't mind in the least (I think everyone should get to enjoy i...
"The fact that Toshiba is still selling a tiny number of standalone players for the dead HD-DVD format is nothing but a irrelevant sideshow."
If you describe the number of HD DVD standalone players as tiny, how do you describe the number of bluray standalone players? PS3 is the vast majority of bluray player sales, and it's not standalone.
All I can figure from this statement is that you believe both formats are going to fail or exist together, because...
WB has always been neutral, and will probably try to really drag out the war as much as possible when a winner is near, since they have their total HD format that they would no doubt love to push for everyone and make money by the bucklet load.
At this rate, it might catch up to the GBA in Japan sometime next century, eh?
I would simply die!
Skies of Arcadia is probably top 10...5...well...maybe 3 games all time! I'm drooling thinking of ship control with a Wii control, as well (I would imagine Sega would keep it with Nintendo, until annouced otherwise.)
I thought it was all just vaporware, rumors about it floating around for so long. Come on Sega, tell me the story of the dark moon that was told of twice in the origional (one discovery in the middle of the Dark Rift, and Ramire...
There are a lot of games you can't get on the PS3, as well, though.
And a $400 gift? Kids are spoiled, these days. If I ever got $50 in gifts a year (Christmas and birthday) I could consider myself lucky! $400 is an aweful lot of money, hardly the perfect price for anything.
Well, would $300 be enough? Would $200 even be enough? $300 is still way too much for most people to spend on a console! No, wait, I don't care what else it can do. Like most Americans, my movies are on DVD and if I want my shows recorded I'll do it with my VCR.
We're not even talking about a cut that low.
Sales won't really pick up for any console until they reach at least $200 or less.
It's funny when Sony fans try to use their brand to show why they'll win.
How many people use Windows? It has over a 90% market share of operating systems! I don't care what your critisims are, either, because I don't know many people who didn't have to buy at least a second PS2.
But, ok, maybe that is a little off the video game industry.
Nintendo, on the other hand, owns the all time top selling games list (Mario, Pokemon, and Tetris are the th...
Interest in Wii is falling when more people want to keep them? Interesting.
Fake is a little harsh.
Fake is if a PS3 fanboy says the slaesa are:
PS3: 1,047,275
PSP: 984,889
360: 0
Wii: -285,827*
DS: -399,101*
* More returned than sold
That's fake.
The good unofficial sources are just a much rougher estimate that almost always ends up being outside of an acceptable error in at least one instance.
MS has fired their biggest gun but Nintendo still stands. Sony seems to be slowly crumbling, but they have yet to bring out their best weapons, yet.
We're used to it already.
All we ever see is PS3 fanboys saying "next year we'll rule, next year the PS3 will have the best games." The PS3 is already getting almost all of the attention.
Yes, all the big games comming out at once hurts us. There are too many good games comming and no one slowed down the Earth's rotation to give us more time to play them!
However, they all come out together for a reason. Ever wonder why your favorite show on one channel ends up comming on at the same time as your favorite show on another channel after one season? That's a strategy, just as much as it would be to put both shows on at a time when nothing is on at all.

Because HD DVD lacks region coding, it can actually help HD DVD. Movies that are on one format one place aren't always on that format all over the world. Someone in America might be able to get a bluray exclusive from America on an HD DVD disc in Australia.
Of course, it would be easier for them to download it, and they probably would, but, of course, there is the legal and internet speed problems some people may have.
Developers against not being sold in stores? How do they compare at all?
If its no different, I hope both bluray and the 360 dies, then, because I dislike bluray comming in trying to make more money when it was already decided HD DVD would follow DVD, and we all know MS is just trying to get a monopoly on the video game industry.
May they both perish.
Nintendo wants video games to be a part of your every day life, no different than turning on your TV or getting in your car, they want you to turn on your DS and Wii.
Hopefully this does well, because it would be great to see video games gain even more acceptance.
If someone says something stupid, and then edits it to add some more, we should be able to disagree twice.
Who said they had to be blockbusters to be good?
Trauma Center may not be a million seller, but I can promise you that I'll have more fun with it than with all 3 Halos combined.
So a year in they're upgrading the technology in the "future proof" PS3?
I guess that's the thing about calling a console future proof...everyone knows they'll get upgraded though the lief cycle, and that just shows that the technology isn't future proof for any console! This won't be the last upgrade, either, I'm sure.
When it comes to technology, nothing is future proof, as is evident by the "state of the art" chips that were being made at ...
