Zach & Wiki
Battalion Wars 2
Fire Emblem

One big problem with rehab is the mental strain patients go though. It's really amazing how much if your body you have to coordinate to play a simple game of tennis or bowling on the Wii, so I can really believe this does work and will become fairly common.

Of course, this would be later in rehab for most patients, because, believe it or not, being able to play a game on the Wii at all takes much more coordination and balance than most people going though rehab early have. <...

M rated games don't sell as well on Nintendo systems, ironicly, because Nintendo draws a more mature audiance. You may not understand this yet, but when you grow up, you don't feel the need to play games with a lot of blood and gore to feel "manly." That's the funny thing about "adult content," it appeals to a lower percentage of adults than teens.

As for how the games look. There is a rather bad looking game for the PS3 comming out, I believe. I'll see ...

I feel a little sorry for Nintendo with this. They created such a beast of a console using supplies that are rarely used (accelormeters, for instance), that companies that make the parts of the Wii can't keep up.

10 million Wiis in a year is one Wii every 3 seconds! Nintendo can't keep them in supply for a reason, its selling far too fast! Now, that's a place Sony or MS would love to be, but they could also ramp up supplies faster, since they use parts that are more common t...

You must be the first Sony fanboy I've ever seen that hates Final Fantasy.

You say any game without online is terrible just by lacking online, and you hate franchises being milked.

Mind telling us what games you're looking forward to for the PS3? I would love to know what great games you're looking at that aren't rehashes.

I actually agree than when I watch a movie, all I care about is the movie.

But ever since the birth of DVD, there has been all those little bonus features that I have to pick to play the movie out of them to watch the movie.

Extra features really mean something to a lot of people, even if they don't to us.

Sony has said stuff like this, but, this time, Panasonic said the PS3 is losing the console war...err...bluray is winning the format war.

You bring up good parallels, though. There are more movie watchers than gamers, and there are more game consoles sold than HD players. If HD DVD is dead because its losing to bluray 1.5:1, then PS3 is dead because its losing to the Wii by 2:1.

Interesting to think about, really.

It will be hard to get Japan to accept Xbox, but hardly impossible.

If the PS3 had very little to nothing but games Japanese players would like, it would sell poorly in America. The 360 has very little to nothing but games American players would like, and it seels poorly in Japan.

It would take more interest in the Japanese market to get the Xbox to succeed, though, due to the culture, but its hardly impossible.

I don't see this really talking off. Developers almost never make games that require the buyer to get something else, unless its bundled with the game.

360 and PS3 owners would complain if this got too big, as well, unless they just spew the "I hate motion controls" as lies for their anti-Wii propaganda.

So there is no happy medium. Motion controls as a small part of the consoles will get no games, and motion controls as a large part of the consoles w...

I liked Mario before he was 3D, too, but Mario RPG and the Paper Marios have been the best Marios in my book.

Mario needs a new enemy? Maybe, just as much as Halo needed to replace aliens with bunnies for a change of pace.

In Mario games, there are some characters that never change, but most characters change every game. Bowser might be the last enemy, almost every time, but before him, Mario tends to be creative. You also need to realize that a lot of the cha...

You can never stop cheating. Anyone who wants to cheat will find a way to be one step ahead of those who want to ban them.

As far as trading game money for real money goes, as far as I know, that's actually illegal in the real world, because you are trading something you don't own (the company that made the game maintains ownership of your character and all items and money on it in most cases), like selling your neighbor's house.

Where possible, it is a better s...

Unreal expectations (pun not intended) are often problems when dealing with something new. People expected too much out of the PS3 and the "power of the CELL!!111shift+one" Really, its not something that blows away everything we've seen to date. It's good, sure, but some company hyped it up to the point that people expected it to be perfect. It's not creating perfect graphics, and its not proving smooth riding for developers. Graphics will evolve, as they always do though the co...

I know what you mean, Red. After learning about the formats and reading what others thought on it (I'm not an overly knowledgable person on technology, so I always look at what others have to say on tech subjects), I sided with HD DVD, and I'm not buying movies from studios that are bluray exclusive.

I would love to own Pirates or Simpsons, but its not happening.

And I doubt come New Year's I'll be dropping my support for HD DVD, because its foolish to believe t...

@REbirth

Why do so many Americans live in a house with only one floor, when you could easily, very easily, get a house with 2 floors and a basement? Why does fast food get more customers than a steak house? Why do people buy used cars when they could get a new one?

The answer to all of these is simple, because its cheaper, and you're l...

"when dvds ae finally overcome" is a good 5 years away...if the format war were to end right now.

The majority of consumers are slow to adopt new technology, and most people have said that upscalled DVDs are good enough.

Just as VHS died out very slowly (I don't know anyone without a VHS player to this day, and I do know people who would still buy VHS movies if they made them), so will DVD.

So even if you think bluray will win and Toshiba...

"Magara admitted to owning a Wii himself."

It's good to see honest answers to questions.

MS fanboys asked what the guy in the UK was supposed to say when it was reported what he said about the Wii. How about something like that? No need to look like a child.

They can learn from the Wii, but I don't know how much good that will do. MS already has the reputation of catering to the hardcore FPS fan to most people, and that reputation will...

I would say its very possible that the 360 won't break 30 million this gen.

I give some room because it seems like many 360 buyers own more than one 360, while I didn't know anyone with an Xbox that had more than one. However, they target the same small group of people, so one should sell about as well as the other.

I've said for a while Sony fell into the same trap Nintendo did last gen, trying to make a powerful console, and the sales are similar and show that...

So many bad arguments against this.

"But the GC was cheaper!"

But it didn't have HD or the ability to play an HD movie format, either. If it did, PS3 would be well below the GC right now. You can't argue different characteristics. If the PS3 was purple and had no HD, where would it stand? Now you see why price is a stupid argument.

"But the price will go down!"

That happens with everything. GC didn't stay at ...

No, no price factored in...now let's factor in what the Gamecube would have done if it was HD and could play an HD movie format.

See? Your argument can swing both ways.
