It is true that most people never listen to reason on here.

However, there are a few that do, and a few that do I see post quite often, like unsunghero, here. And I can give those people bubbles every week or so. That times ahs come for unsunghero, so maybe the ignorance can be drowned out by reason.

In the long list of Wii hate comes this.

Mario and Zelda are the biggest icons of the gaming world, and Nintendo is attracting the people who started gaming with them so long ago. As someone who is 21, I find the Wii much more attractive than the other consoles because it's cheaper (adults have other responsabilities, and most people who have to work don't have $500 sitting around), it has a great variety of good games out or comming, and the controls are much better than the ...

What about owning an HD TV allows me to play Mario Galaxy, Brawl, Trauma Center, or No More Heroes without a Wii?

Nothing? Looks like I'll still need it then.

I didn't even say anything bad about Sony.

I said that saying Nintendo is greedy because they're adding something is like saying Sony would be greedy if they added something, because I knew there was a 50/50 chance you were a Sony fanboy and would hate someone calling Sony greedy because they added something.

Looks like you just see what you want in spite of any logic.

The PS2 wasn't exactly known for its reliability. It's no 360 by any means, but I have a strange feeling it may have been a little above the industry standard.

It would be nice to have a PS3 be able to play all your old games, in case it does go out. I doubt most people would want to play PS/PS2 games on their PS3, anyway, with a PS2 laying around, but I doubt anyone would want to go out and buy another PS2 if their's decides it's had enough.

There are discs that have been made that can hold many times what a bluray disc could ever hope to hold. If you believe that more space is better, in spite of how that space would never be used for movies, wait 5 or so years for that.

I don't think anyone is taking it as bad news for bluray, but just as I didn't think the 51 GB HD DVD meant anything, I don't think this means anything. In both cases, its just more space than we consumers need for our movies, and there are thin...

Two people calling Nintendo greedy if they package a peripheral and a game with the Wii, not just a game as it is now.

That would be like calling Sony greedy if they were to put in a controller with rumble and take out the controller without rumble, but I guess to some people, for some reason, more is less.

The Wii still isn't affordable for the majority of people who would think about buying it.

The PS3 is still far too expensive, except for richer fanboys. I've had a car that costed less than a PS3, seriously.

This has what to do with the PS3?

Oh, wait, nothing at all.

When discussing cameras that are going to be put on satalites, a console has no place in the discussion.

Looks like another bullet in a power point, just like the 51 GB HD DVD disc.

There are other applications, but this is just a space race for the format war right now (there are discs with even more space than this in development, and bluray could never reach the space other discs are reaching).

There is very little reason we should need 50 GB for movies (though more than 25 may occationally be needed). 100 GB is huge, but its pretty worthless, unless someone wan...

I think bluray was just a business move for Sony. If they can get bluray out there to people, they can make more money in the long run. It did set them back quite a bit, though, which hurt the PS3 as a gaming mechine. If bluray loses the format war, adding bluray to the PS3 was a terrible mistake, because more space doesn't mean as some people would like to believe. Most games are perfectly fine on multiple discs, but the PS3 being delayed because of bluray...there is no multiple disc rem...

What was the last console that EA had a good game on?

No reason to insult every console made since EA came into being.

It's really sad that the Wii is showing how stale the industry has become. Developers are so used to making Another Sequal to That Game 8 that they can't make Another Great Game That is Different.

At least EA is trying, though. It will pay off for them in the long run, because they want to use the Wii controls, but just haven't figured out how to yet.

I doubt anyone is thinking an HD Wii.

All console makers go though revisions of the console and what is packaged with it. No one is questioning that this is a small change.

New colors wouldn't suprise me, and a new bundle wouldn't, either.

I'm guessing, though, most likely its just one of the many hardware revisions a console goes though in its life cycle, and anyone who doesn't know about this would never know the difference, even if they had the before and after Wiis in front of them.

"So go back and play your inferior 360"

I refuse to buy a 360 right now, thank you. Maybe if they can get the price down a little more and make me confident they're not going to change anything else, I'll consider it.

Heck, right now I'm even avoiding my friends that have a 360 because I really don't want to play Halo 3.

I find it funny that anyone who says things about the PS3 that aren't worshiping it much be 360 fanboys though, right?...

There had to be some Wii magic to sell out the Wii for weeks on end, people staying up all night in front of stores to get the Wii, before the ideas of that happening came up.

The Wii was sold out for a good month solid before the Wii magic you spoke of appeared.

I love seeing the whole "Wii owners don't buy games" argument. If Wii doesn't sell games because casual gamers buy it, what does that say about the "real gamers" that buy the PS3, while the PS3 has a lower attach rate than the Wii?

Let's not even mention that, though the talk has died down, not everyone is happy with how high the attach rate of the 360 is (so high that it looks like a console at the end of its cycle).

The Wii has both the &qu...

Sony and MS are into other tech, too, not just the games, so they have incentive to push things into their console that Nintendo would not.

Bluray is a good example. You can bet your bottom dollar if Sony didn't have a part in bluray they would be using DVD just like MS and Nintendo.

If the game division of Sony loses $2 billion, though, and bluray wins because of it being in the PS3, the profit of Sony as a whole goes up more than if they hadn't spent those bil...
