The thing is, he followed up with "25,000 are sold daily.", to which I assume he continues to be speaking of Japan.
Just last week, sony sold to consumers just over 40,000. It is impossible that sony is selling 25,000 a day to consumers , so they must mean to retailers. 25,000 * 7(days) =175,000, -45,000(people owning a vita)= 130,000 unsold vita units that week.
I won't sit here stating the vita is doomed as I do think things wil pick up, but if what I deduced f...
I don't see why people jumped down bundis throat.
If the specific of "sales or shipped" doesn't matter, then it shouldn't make you so mad.
Although, death did put it much better and without flamebaiting.
We all know Sony (not sure about the others, but I'm sure they do to) announces shiped to retailers, as that is the only thing that matters to their immediate bottom line.
However, sold to consumers matters just as much, because a sys...
I'm not quite sure why SC has been different for me, as I still love the 2nd one. I think it is the rebalancing of the characters in recent editions that makes the game feel off, but that's just me. (I have 2 up to 4, and I am currently undecided as wether to buy 5 just yet.)
Getting rid of team battles and one hit matches as play options has also upset me, but neither are major deal breakers.
I think he was just trying to get a free game...

@additup
Did you just plug 2 different movie reference jokes seamlessly into 1 comment?
Well done if so. ^_^;
Most fighting games are more like "simon" than actual combat: you memorize complicated combos and sequences and drop them instinctively. Now, while real martial artists and fighters do this also, real combat also contains many other factors not often represented in fighting games like range, unexpected developments, and strategic positioning.(setting up an air combo against a wall doesn't count).
Fights between tournament fighters are more about data management than stra...
I think he meant recently.
It isn't any more "mature". It's darker theme is more edgy, but that doesn't make it more mature.
I personally don't like the 2nd ninja gaiden. Yet, it still seems strange to write a "fail" article about an unreleased game. There have been plenty of mediocre to crap games that got no such prerelease preview treatment, so why start with NG?
Oh dear god. I had managed to completely forget about the ngage.
Thanks for reminding me.....
...lol

If the article is focusing on America, then it is correct. The psp tanked here long ago.
The system never reached its full potential in the states, while it has been soaring in Japan, especially in recent months.
There are no rumors: just speculation. Of course they will make a revision at some point, but nothing has come out of Nintendo about this, leaked or otherwise.
The Nikkei trendy blurb was writer speculation, not market wisper.
As for having two slidepads, that is looking more unlikely at this point. But it is still a possibility, depending on how the peripheral does with consumers and developers.
That's just the thing: if it were in high demand with little stock(basically, selling out.) sony would be screaming from the top of the mountains about their success, as would the rest of the media. But that isn't what people including sony (who have made no comment)are declaring. A lack of demand is the only explanation for these "low" sales.
I've seen stories on n4g given Nintendo tags that had no Nintendo content in them.
The active contributing and vocal n4g community is mainly sony based, so that is what most people on here will focus on.
Although as far as this story goes, it is one of multiplatform importance/focus. Only the headline is specifically focused.
The vita better sell more than competing consoles with longer aged lifespans and deep market penetration, so that isn't much of an accomplishment (though all combined is slightly impressive, it isn't exactly extraordinary either as all these consoles have been in steady decline for various reasons anyway.).
While I wont officially " disagree" with you, I must state that sony has a specific image it likes its games to represent and thus wouldn't allow Nintendo to make games the way they would like to/ are good at. It wouldn't work out the way you fantasize it would, I'm afraid.
? The most expensive a Nintendo download game has ever gotten, to my knowledge, is 12~15 at max.
You must be thinking of someone else.
I don't think they would ever completely die out either, but this statement is more of a declaration: we don't give up until the end. Nintendo would have to be in utter financial ruin before becoming software only, and by that point would only be able to push out ports and mario like sega did with sonic; all of their other ips would die..
Besides Nintendo is a hardware company. Expecting them to go software only would be like expecting GM to go tires only.
Remember when sega went software only? All we got were BAD sonic games for nearly a decade. All of segas other ips died out, and they still haven't recovered fully.
Nintendo has stated that if they completely crash ever in their history, then they take their ips with them( which I'm sure is hyperbole, but it does illustrate their strength and determination). They refuse to go software only, and if things ever got that bad for Nintendo it would have to be at the point of no ret...
And mess up the balance of holding the system while using the slidepad.
I won't comment about the other "rumors" right now, but the nikkei trendy one wasn't even a real rumor. It was just a bad translation of an editorial speculation, and not a wisper from the information cables( or however rumors and info get out.)
Nintendoeverything has already clarified this on their website.
