People keep saying "hardware trumps software" as if the only thing that will be shown of the wiiu is its hardware.(like last year... ugh.-_-;)
But what it really is is: WiiU + crap ton of wiiu software + crap ton of 3ds software + updates to the status of both wiiu and 3ds software we already know about.
If the previous several years are any indication, Sony will have few surprises and will simply give weight to what they have already announced pre e3(with a...
I'm personally expecting CoD to be on wiiu and 3ds this year.
Nintendo has stated that the western developers have re accepted the 3ds and that we will see the fruits of this at e3, and I see no reason why the wiiu would be left out in the cold if that's the case.
I think he meant in comparison to its own previous gen.
The 360 did quite a bit better than the xbox,which was steamrolled(as far as I can remember) by the ps2.
Although in this case, the wii still did the best of the 3.^_^;
They are both crap.
Dr Pepper FTW! ^O^
@nitro
Where is the 3ds WW total? o.o;
@gribble
I think the same about last years negative 3ds articles. And to be honest, I think that some people are still blinded by old stories and misconceptions that no longer hold water, if they ever did.
But isn't that how markets and economies are supposed to work in the first place.^_^;
The thing is, the vita doesn't really need an "early"price drop anyway: it needs more varied and high quality games. I will probably get one when it has such a library that also includes games to my specific taste.
And seeing as how that may be a few years(like with the psp), I most likely will be paying less than launch price regardless of whether there is an early...
So your reply to his assertion that the site is run by sony fans making comments and discussions only on positive stories is saying that this one has less attention because it isn't talking good about an upcoming Sony game?
@_@
You are kind of proving his point, hicken.
There are plenty of anticipated upcoming releases that will never get as much attention as a single character reveal in a copy cat game.
I thought Reggie/iwata said that it will be more expensive than the wii is Now?
That the wii will be in a very different price bracket than the wiiu, in present tense.
Personally, I'm hoping for 225, but that's not going to happen...^_^;
It wouldn't hurt to have a memory storage device at least included with the system,like the 3ds.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if a vita version announcement was one of their big e3 showings.
Well, it IS up to capcom. They own the rights, so they get the final say.
That doesn't mean that Nintendo isn't working with them or that they won't release it.
I think e3 will tell us all we need to know.
Yes. Nintendo has confirmed this.
But they will most likely take info from e3 into consideration and announce this info shortly after. ^_^
The 3ds is coming off last weeks fire emblem driven sales boost, I think.
Furthermore, ceil no surge released, and this combined with several new psp releases may be what is responsible for the vita boost.(as well as the psps, obviously.)
I wonder if this squawking is actually a well organised cooperative marketing ploy...
O.O
It sold really well here and in europe too, so this is hardly Japan specific.
Although, I thought it was already out over there. Is this its first week? That would be quite a regional release gap, all things considered.
So let me get this strait: by opening an otherwise closed market and giving consumers choice, in order to move forward Nintendo should monopolize their eshop and dictate all prices?
That is regression and backwards thinking in regards to free market capitalism, not progression.
Furthermore, you are only seeing this in one possible way: lower stocking cost will empower rates to remain the same with lower retailer risk. But instead, what if this allows for cheaper stock...
Nintendos game downloads have the potential to be even cheaper than Sonys as they have opened up the market and allowed retailers to price and sell the digital games. Because these digital codes will cost less to buy, ship and stock, many companies will lower sale prices in order to stay competitive.
It also allows for sales on any given basis.(amazon deals or black friday, for example.), and in fact this is what iwata Expects to see out of this model.
You can buy Nintendo download software from retailers, who are allowed to set the price any way they want. Meaning some retailers (like Walmart, for example) may follow the msrp while others will price more competitively.(Like Amazon.)
Because these codes will cost retailers less to purchase, ship and stock, those savings could well come out in price allowing for even greater price differences than vitas set $5 dollars. Competitive pricing could further lower prices, along with the oc...
In the long run, perhaps. Media attention raising software support and system sales and all that.
But regardless, speculating can be fun on its own. ^_^;
