They are also expecting a return to profitability by next years earnings briefing.
And like I said before, in the previous year Nintendo made nearly twice what they lost this past year.
"Massive losses" is over exaggerated all things considered, as it sounds like there are no layoffs and this is a one time thing in the past 30 years.
Sony has lost 90% of their company over the past 10 or so years. Losing money year over year.
Nintendo loses in one year half what they made the year prior. This is their only loss in 3 decades.
So no, they aren't comparable. But Sony's loss is still far worse.
Yes, it is quite a loss.
However, they are already expecting a return to profitability within the next year, so to take such a loss, (wich, by the way, is less than their previous years profit by almost 2 times.) And to bounce back so quickly show how overplayed this situation is and Nintendos resilience as a company overall.
Kaos is just a character, dude. ^_^;
Like darksniper: it is an act making fun of n4g itself.(and fanboyism overall.)
At least, that is what I've gathered from their multiple comments. ^.^;
My take is that this makes it more likely to be localised, as NB doesn't need to go through a web of content ownership if they decide they want to bring it over.
But I don't really know or completely understand how these things work...^_^;
I think that capcoms deep relationship with Nintendo has more to do with it. (Though I wouldn't rule out such deals and partnerships.)
They have been close partners on quite a few projects over the years.
Mon hun has, as far as I know, only free dlc.
Yes... -_-;
I miss those days too.
Well then, lets play it your way, and say they are "losing" money. It would take decades of real financial loss and not just lower than forecast sales dropping revenue for Nintendo to be in trouble.
Add to that the growing install base of the 3ds, growing software library and overall sales growth and it is hard to see how they are in any trouble.
And like I have already stated, these forecasts and sales woes are months old news. Things are looking up going ...
Guys,I don't think Skywalker is meaning anything negative with his statement...^_^;
That is all old news. The 3ds is set to come out of the dip it was in within the next several months, if it isn't already.
Where I have gone, the response has been surprisingly positive, actually. ^_^;
Edit: ugh, this wasn't even a preview. Just a bunch of bitching from Mr Parish. (I think I spelled that right...)
... they fell blindly in love with themselves ages ago.I thought that much was pretty obvious.
How is this a recent revelation?
If sales, dev support and media coverage are any indication, the vita is at a much greater risk of dying out than the wiiu.
Not to mention Sony's financial troubles. And the fact that the wii was the only home console to have its own true MH game.(I don't know much about the 360 online one.)
@knushwood
That is a cultural and regional thing to do with Japan, Not Nintendo or MH.
The psp ones didn't have online either.
Furthermore, online can potentially be added now that the 3ds will allow game patching and updates with its newest Firmware update.
^_^
Aw, cheer up. ^o^
Does this mean That Monster Hunter 3G can be given online?
Not that it needs it(In Japan...)
Yep... -_-;
Agreed.
We had DOA, and at the same time Gravity daze is set to release we had Star fox and LoZ.(june, right?)
Not much and I'm not disagreeing with you on this point. Just clarifying. ^_^;
I suppose this is true. ^_^
Though I think they have already started overcoming it.
