If that truly was what they thought, then they would only think that way Because that is what works for the AMERICAN audience.
so... with the usa being a capitalistic free market and voting with their money, it would be OUR fault, not Nintendo's for giving us wat we "want" ^_^;
...9 people must be unable to do math if they disagree with the statement that 20,000 is half of 40,000...
That info is outdated. Sony has stated that the vita is being sold at a loss.
Just Google "Vita sold at loss."
@bublo
The Vita IS being sold at a loss.
I'm personally very worried/upset over FE dlc.
I mean, what has released so far is nearly an entire game in cost, but not in content....o.o;
I really think we should wait until e3 before assuming FE isn't coming over...
I mean, 1 year we don't get a hand full of games at the exact moment we want to(even though we still got them, and they wouldn't't have come over at all if Nintendo Didn't want them to.) and we start assuming ridiculous things...-_-;
Spreading beliefs with cultural products is far better than forcing beliefs with guns....
The Difference though is that the 3ds can afford to drop compared to the Vita, seeing as how it is outselling it nearly 2 to 1.
Unless this is a very old report, with a very old dev kit.
If that were the case, the dev kits have actually gotten more powerful with each iteration.
I also think what you are remembering was a statement about how easy it was to code to get the tablet running content properly, not turning it off.
I forget who said this, though...^_^;
2Read the article. It states that the game is running on mostly high end pc grades at 30-35 fps 720p and tablet streaming at 480p. With Tablet streaming off, it would run the same but at 1080p, which cannot be done by ps3 or 360.
Of course, all of this would have to be true to matter. So, yay for rumors...^_^;
@braid
I think all the stats of this particular run are at pc high end levels, quite a bit above crysis 3 on ps3 and 360 WHILE also running at half resolution on the tablet at a solid 30-35 fps. If the tablet were disabled, it would run on screen the same but at 1080p, which current gen cannot even do.
This would make it next gen.
It isn't apocalyptic in the slightest kweit. The Vita has issues that need sorting if it wants to be a success. What the article is trying to do is bring these up and put forth the obvious solutions.
If anything, the article is POSITIVE in its attitude towards the vita.
Nintendo had said the reason the second screen is 2d on the 3ds is that scratches and spots from touching it would mess up the 3d effect, as well as having an object like a finger or touch pen between your eyes and the screen.
I don't think publisher switches are covered by this, however.
This change of situation has nothing to do with dealership promises, as the CURRENT publisher had nothing to do with the old price. Because the situation and involved parties have changed, I find it hard to believe Amazon should be held accountable for a promise made by a party no longer involved with the product.
According to basic physics, it is impossible to gain momentum without additional mass (Software) or forward thrust(Heavy Marketing, Major announcements etc.).
So, as things stand now I find it hard to believe the Vita is *Currently* gaining momentum. ^_^;
Sony may be setting up for a grand e3, but so far it is kind of looking rather par for the course for them. For me, that's not enough to make me all to interested.
And while Sony is promising 20 new gaming experiences overall, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see 20 such experiences from both the 3ds and WiiU individually.
So I'm very excited for Nintendo, Dismissive towards Microsoft, and unimpressed with Sony, (which is a preference thing mostly) althou...
Nintendo probably hit them with their "NDA Ninja force"
^__^;
Nintendo's own digital store front will price games the same as physical copies in order to appease retailers. However, unlike MIcro. and Sony, they will also wholesale digital codes to retailers, allowing further retail profits at lower costs to consumers, as they will cost less to purchase and won't cut into stock costs.
Furthermore, if you can't find a good deal at retailers, a "high" digital store price is economical, as it plays into supply and dema...
Nintendo is playing to this by selling digital games wholesale to retailers, who are free to sell these codes at whatever price makes the most sense to themselves.
Amazon and walmart, for example, my find it within their best interest to sell these codes for less than GS or Toysrus in order to make higher profits against these more focused retailers.
Although they have recently stated that they will make more crossover games, this sounds like an entirely new IP. One that has never, ever been hinted at or teased.
Meaning that it might not be ni oh either.(also, what is ni oh?)
