Still clinging to North America? Who knows what totals this month will have when they come out next month but worldwide the PS3 has been outselling X360 since last week of November. I am interested to see if this NA trend continues though.
PoG is posting a canned response, talk about "defense forces". The X360 is only short one SKU as is the PS3 (80Gb is very hard to find in most stores). If MS does a price cut they will gain ground in SOME places but not all over the world PoG and you know it, if it hasn't outsold the PS3 WW for the past 2+ months at the current price difference a $50 cut won't do much. You also assume that PS3 wouldn't drop to the same amount, which they likely would.
They will update their charts with the NPD data. As Pirate said, NPD doesn't list weekly sales, they are monthly. VG does an "educated guess" and then updates once NPD numbers come out.
BEFORE the numbers came out the word was that only one SKU of X360 was hard to find (and the SAME was for the 80Gb PS3 SKU but nobody wants to admit to that). I have no problems walking to any store in my city and finding X360's and PS3's (just the 40Gb PS3 and the comparable X360 version) but I admit there are no Wiis.
First the people scream "Wait for NPD" then when NPD comes out and shows the sales they have excuses <sigh>.
Not a bad post, but yes MS can be stopped. No it won't happen because it would be a stupid business move on behalf of Sony and the Blu consortium, but don't think that MS can do ANYTHING it wants (though they have the money to do most anything they want).

Almost funny there with that one. The odds of a developer answering something you post on here are slim to none. If you post something int his forum it is open to be discussed by anyone who reads the forum actually. You asking someone to find another thread is ironic at best. It may not be big enough yet but at the rate they are eating up other companies it might be soon. Also they may or may not be big enough but they are arrogant enough. I don't think EA cares what too many people think honestly. They are going to be an interesting company to watch this year.
I would much rather have the 20 minute load time (and the size of the hard drive is a moot issue with how cheap the extra space is to buy since you are not forced to buy a specific one with a certain system) than the simplistic graphics of the Wii. Yes I know the Wii pulls off some decent stuff but its just not that exciting to me sadly. I know that's just my opinion and obviously 20+ million love the thing but I will never buy one.
Have you sunk so low as to posting "Dear Diary" submissions as fact that something is true. I could tell you I own both systems and that does not make it a fact. It was stated and debated that it ranged from 3 times faster on PS3 to only about 2 or 3 seconds faster by actual gaming magazines instead of some loser's "Dear Diary" blog submission.

Not only can you delete the data but putting in a major HD is not only easy its cheap since Sony doesn't make you buy a specific one for more money. Seriously in today's world with the size of HDs available this issue is one I would like to see put to rest but it wouldn't be a fanyboy war if we did lol.
I would take the word of the people who made the game to know what they are talking about versus your pathetic dribble. You can think what you want jvmca but Uncharted's graphics are amazing and yes the DEVELOPERS of the game said they barely used 30% of what the system is capable of.

I agree with you Dlacy but the interesting question that rears its head is why did EA recently post their belief the PS3 would sell better than X360 this year (or whatever it said, fanboy-ism aside). I had been thinking that EA's bad ports to PS3 were tied to the exec swapping you talked about but then that story came out.

Nice post and I agree for the most part. Curious though, do you really think X360 can hit 50 million? I expect a ton of disagrees but I just can't see it. If the Wii hadn't been the rather unexpected success (IMO) I would not argue they could but who knows. The Wii is the only system that has been having shortage issues for a long while now. The Elite SKU is the one that is having some supply issues but so is the 80Gb PS3 (both are rumored as to being replaced soon with another SKU from their respective parent companies).
