Stop drinking so much Captain because if you think X360 is "stomping" PS3 this round you are sadly mistaken. PS3 is around 9.6 million sold and X360 is around 16.6 million (WW), not that big a gap considering X360 was out a year earlier. Also the war for this gen is longer than the 14 months PS3 has been out and 26 months for X360.
Note PS2 total lifetime sales compared to Xbox original....your M$ has a long way to go before claiming any victories in the console war...
One day very soon when NPD shows PS3 ahead of X360 Mr. Marbles will suddenly say NPD isn't trustworthy. The only reason he uses them as his baseline is because it favors his machine. I believe NPD is pretty close for NA and I believe VG isn't that far off for Europe/Japan.

I am a die hard Sony fan, but I think this game will be pretty cool. I want to see more before I say its amazing but so far its looking very well done. I prefer PS3 but can and have admitted X360 has some great games. Bioshock, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Fable 2...all great games on the X360, pretty much year 2 and going into year 3 games on the X360. I just find it sad that a lot of extreme X360 fans can't admit that PS3 has an incredible lineup for their second year (aka 2008), thank Go...
M$ stole their initial product...WINDOWS, and hasn't let up yet. Almost all companies copy other companies products at some point. M$ has just made a science of it is all.
Again though, virtual worlds were not stolen by either company. Asimov was writing about them YEARS ago and I am sure it goes even further back than that.

Neither company copied the idea of a virtual world, that idea goes way way back in time. As far as someone wanting to say who developed it for their system first, we may never know since Home was in development (at least the drawing board) back during PS2 days.

First off I would NEVER say the words "copy" and "Microsoft" in the same sentence in an attempt to slam another company. While all companies do it, M$ has made their entire company on it.
Second off as was said above Home was thought about long ago, when PS2 was out. I don't think either company copied each other on that topic though, virtual worlds have been thought about for a very long time. Heck Sony could have thought of it when they were building ...

I personally haven't been comparing Uncharted to GoW but you are apparently incapable of seeing WHY some are comparing them. You say "2006 versus 2007" but its the fact they are BOTH first year games for their respective systems. PS3 only came out at the END of 2006.

I can also say that if the X360 didn't have more games over the million mark than PS3 with an entire year full of sales with almost no competition other than PS2 then I would be shocked. Yes Halo 3 came out recently and its an incredible seller due to the popularity of the series (like Metal Gear and Final Fantasy will be). Another reason Halo was able to do so well is that the X360 has more units currently out than PS3 , again due to being out a full year with almost no competition.
The key is its 20k and up to 30-40k couple of those weeks and its January, not exactly the busy season, just sit back and wait. Even if the gap closes slowly (which I think its going to grow in PS3's favor very quickly) its still closing not growing. PS3 is picking up steam, this is its second year and I personally think its going to close the gap fast. I admit the X360 is a good machine with some pretty good titles coming out this year but Sony didn't own the market with PSOne and PS2 by ...

I think we should all be a bit more miffed that the game could have and should have looked better overall period. Something about this version of Burnout isn't exciting me and I haven't figured out why.
X360 has a YEAR on the PS3 not to mention when X360 came out it was only competing against the PS2 (which still did damn good considering it was the previous gen to the 360). PS3 has to compete with X360 AND this little annoying system named Wii. Keep trying to tout that the X360 is the winner but this battle is far from over...far far far from over. If you are comparing the console war for this generation to 9 innings then we are ony in inning 3 and your team is the only one that showed up to the stadium in inning 1. The simple fact that X360 is doing much better than Xbox original has you M$ fans excited.
How could you even compare being out for 26 months versus being out for 14 months to an 8 inning game when even lame M$ won't release the next system until 2010 would be my guess (and its all a guess since nobody but M$...
