Of course the graphics will be scaled down, they have to adhere to a larger amount of players on screen, each with endless customization options - all while being in a vast non-linear open world. It is possible they scaled it back to get the file-size down though.
They're talking with Microsoft because they want Microsoft to pay for the 360 port. Otherwise the 360 version will come out much later, no reason to have to deal with fixing bugs on 3 versions at launch when you only have 2, and 360 would be the weakest seller and let alone won't work with the arcade. This is what you get when you resort to bribing companies to develop on your platform, they expect payment.
You mean like this?
Yea is there even going to be a CoD game ready next year?
Just like the "under promise, over deliver" one I heard from MS.
Does anyone else think they ripped off Flow big time?
That's exactly what I was thinking. They already paid kojima to come on stage, and they showed it again this year at MS's conference.. Konami won't give the PS3 a superior version after cashing checks from Microsoft.
What I'm wondering is if it will have different music, because it just wouldn't feel right without the old goldeneye music I loved. I'm guessing rare/microsoft has the rights to that though.
Their conference only 'won' because Sony showed all their games before hand, Sony is still the king of content.
I remember reading how gamesradar said Sony's conference didn't have the 'free xbox' like MS's did.. It obviously does get to a lot of the media a lot of those guys have no problems being paid off, it's just a job - why not make more.
It must be a lot of fun to be an xbox fan and try to defend this.. I kinda feel sorry for you guys and your company that does anything to win.
They're probably PSN games.
I think Sony is more concerned about making some revenue off the thing to be honest. If MS can subsidize console prices with xbox live fees they'll have a hard time competing with MS on System Price. It's just good to know we can play online just fine without it.
The moment you drop your subscription, you can't play the 'free games' anymore, so basically you're forced to pay subscription fees if you want access to all your content for the rest of the time you have a PS3.
They definitely should let you keep all the stuff from the first year if you renew a second year.. I'm not sold on the Rental thing - I'd rather just buy/share my games.
If all 5 games were revealed at the show, I think Sony would have overwhelmingly 'won' this E3.
I really wonder how much Ubisoft and EA had to pay to make those appearances at Sony's conference. Although I doubt the Woods one was paid.
The exlusive DLC stuff was a whole bunch of BS, Sony don't do that stupid MS Bribe everyone crap, it was as if to say hey we can open our wallet too just like MS. Exclusive limited editions is all they could get - and both those 'extras' will no doubt be on PSN/xbl - I was hoping for move support.
Playstation + was a huge letdown, after he said you can play the 'free' games for the duration of your subscription - they should just let us keep the dang games...
The first guy says, it lacked the 'free xbox' of Microsoft's conference.. give me a break, why don't you just tell us you're a sucker for bribes and it will change your opinions outright. Next year they'll be handing out $1000 blank checks, i guess - if you can make it.
It just showed the thing reacting to the black outline of the guy, PSeye is capable of doing that just fine, no need for a 3d camera.
KZ3 is much more open than Rage - Rage is absolutely a corridor shooter if you've actually watched the videos. The towns may be more open, but the action is corridor, and it all looks the same (reused textures). And I guess animations don't count when you talk about realism in graphics when you want the underdog to win. Rage has nothing on the ragdoll/mocap blend killzone implements it's not even close in the animations department. 3rd, Art direction Rage is very generic, look...
