A Pre-Owned 360 is not a very wise decision. It's only cheap because the old consoles break and people know about it.
I did my own little comparison since I have both, they look very similar, there's screen tearing on the PS3, but all in all it's hard to declare one a winner over the other, the PS3 version seems to illuminate the faces more. One thing i noticed was it seemed the pop up menus were less aliased on the ps3 and looked better. These are all nit-picking though the game is pretty much identical.
What I noticed is the pics are zoomed in on the faces, where the PS3 advantage appears to be more in the costume textures. I have no idea why they would zoom in on the faces, and not just show the whole capture... It does suggest it was done deliberately to make the 360 look better.
How many of those sales for PGR3 and PGR4 were off of 360 bundles or chatpad bundles? As far as I know they don't separate those figures. I wonder what the real figures are for people that actually bought the game.
the problem with catering to 2 different markets is they'll get very little crossover sales, meaning the software they sell (where they make most of their money) won't be any better, despite the increased user base. They'll brag about consoles sold numbers, while their attach rate to popular games will decline. Number of consoles sold doesn't get developers to side with a console, how much money they make developing for that console does. Focusing on Kinect will fail to expa...
I think its very true that FFXIII got a bad rep in part because of a lot of Sony fans were bitter about it going multi platform - and thinking that they got a substandard product because of it (which may be true). The other games - if they would have released for playstation would have helped build an rpg friendly audience on PS3.
I think a lot of people are unaware of just how much money FFXI brought in for them, they were very Dependant on that fan base crossing over to the new game, and that's not happening. They should have made the game more like the old one and given it another year. A 2nd MMO wasn't a bad idea, considering how much FFXI made for them, they just handled it wrong.
@Heavy_Rain
An interface where your arms get really tired. I don't think it's replacing the mouse or remote control anytime soon.
It's good knowing about the game, but I don't think it would have mattered to wait a month on the info, it's not like we get to play it anytime soon. I guess now I have an extra month to tell prospective PS3 buyers that KZ3 will have co op. So I don't think too much dmg was done, Guerrilas next showing of the game might be seen as less of a shock to the media with the cat out of the bag. It seems like Sony was planning on starting 2011 with a bang.
if it's real things like this can still get cut before the game ships, considering it hasn't been officially announced.
yea no wonder they put half the effort into the PS3 version - now it makes sense, they actually want people buying it on the 360 instead.
and no one notices the '25%' difference cause it's close enough to 60fps to boot. I get the impression you haven't played both versions, or have done so with a nit picky eye the average person would have no reason to have, unless they felt insecure about their favorite console being superior.
It's very suspicious this review is out early, as if it's trying to set the tone for the other reviewers and open the door to bashing it. Reviewers seem to be a bit scared of deviating 'from the norm,' so setting the tone may be effective. Let's face it if one review has already been a bad one, they're more open to bashing it themselves - review scores are a big deal when it comes to selling games. This could be a genuine review, but it seems suspicious to me.
I actually don't want it to be uncharted 3, cause we all know that's coming already. I want something we didn't expect.
GTA V with move controls seems like it would be really cool.
Yea lets ask a US only retailer who's going to have more sales, then refer it to the 'sales war.' Might as well ask who's 'winning' over in japan?
Remember guys it's not about which product is better, it's about who sells more.. not about who actually makes more off a said product (considering marketing and R&D budgets), it's about who sells more. And when you win in the US you win in the world..
I think I do too, this kind of leak doesn't happen often. Honestly I could have guessed everything he wrote and made up a mock 'secret interview.' Might just be desperate for hits. I'm sure all those companies are looking at remaking PS2 games, but being on board, and having the development resources to do so is a different story.
Because the support would be very limited, and costly to tailor to each game. It's not like they could add it onto the store for $30 either to pay for it because it would still not play all ps2 games. I'm assuming it would be harder for them to emulate PS2 on PS3 than it is to emulate xbox1 on xbox360 largely because of specific feature inside the PS2 GS.
Yea but someone like me whose not too into racing games, I have this and GT5 to choose from this holiday - which one do i pick.. I think it will sell half that.
they probably have tons of 360 copies laying around that's why.
