If the price was nothing for MS to worry about, why the heck didn't they tell us at E3? tell me that..
I think they failed with confrontation by giving it a low budget, few levels, low detail character models, and a bare-bones interface. They had a lot of the socom 2-ness I liked, it just lacked the excitement.
I don't mind if the guns aren't balanced, as long as the levels make up the difference, as far as giving terrorists advantage or seals advantage. I actually kind of liked it when some of the levels like enowapi were harder to win on one side, it made it all the more sweet when you actually did win. The key is to have lots of well designed varied levels.
Socom was scheduled for November previously, so It wasn't going to launch with move in the first place.
the extra time better be for more multiplayer maps; specifically Socom 2 remakes.
Xbox 360 rushed product to deflate Sony's new product Round 2.
Capcom better drop the price of this thing down to $20 when move comes out, if they're forcing us to buy it.
Dances like a rich asshole
I think the real reason they waited is because they're finally preparing to drop the console to a mass market friendly price with it included - as well as keep the system alive for more years to come. Sony could have got this stuff out the door sooner, but then it wouldn't be old news and the system wouldn't have anything exciting and new come 2010 besides 3d, which no one can afford.
I honestly think Natal/Kinect was a knee jerk reaction from MS finding out abou...
They'll 'support' it I'm sure by keeping the servers active. But support it as in make another real expansion pack for it they stopped that back in 2006 - And no the mini expansions, and copy-and-pasted areas (wings of the goddess) don't count.
I've been wondering about an 8gb arcade-like model for the PS3. I guess the problem is they couldn't slash $100 off the price cause they aren't scamming people on the hard drive upgrade.
They're shooting for a 'T' rating.. I can't imagine these being very good. I can only imagine what they could of done with an M rating.
I just think they need to make a new socom game with all the Maps from Socom 2. I'm really crossing my fingers that Socom 4 will have a ton of maps - since they're giving abandoned out for free to gamestop preorders it can't be out of the question.
Awesome, though I've expected this since well before the game was announced when they said they were using the warhawk engine.
Did you forget PS3 has Blu-Ray movie compatibility and a built in internet browser? who cares if the features are 3rd party or built in they're features.
Let them do it, and watch players start playing other games - I actually really want to see it happen just cause it will make sure everyone I know isn't just playing MW2.
It is me or did all the MS-sided Media decide to hold back till MS announced the Price, cause they knew that was the biggest deterring factor to new buyers. For some reason they waited on announcing the price, they didn't do it at E3. After they announce the price we see a suspicious amount of articles saying oh $150, that's nothing; give me a break. Your average 360 owner often bought 360 over PS3 because of price, they're not people that have $150 to throw around. MS delayed a...
Money talks, and a larger base buying games means more money to be invested for that platform, and more attention on that platform's version, given there were no deals made. The 360 vs. PS3 sales is actually sort of funny because it should be 360+PS3 sales vs wii, because most publishers are multiplatform, and what the installed base on those two combined would effect the budget, not which one outsells the other.
But then again sales figures aren't how much money the...
It kind of sets the record straight; NPD isn't the world, and the NPD articles we always see (usually quoted by MS) mislead us.
heck they should just do a quick port of the US xbox version of vesperia and pack it in with Graces - that way they wouldn't have to worry about all the voice overs on new content, and get past sony's additional content rule for late releases. The added value would help a lot.
