Yea but the free swag doesn't effect them, they're above all influence.

Tretton said that PS3 will be the only console you can play it on when it launches in 2010. That would imply there's some type of contract going on behind the scenes for timed exclusivity on PS3 for him to come out and announce that.

Exactly same thing for me, except I played mostly on PS2, a little on PC and 360 later though. Was like 3 years on, then barely played the next 3, but still kept my account active. Going to be tough to try to play casually, but it's my plan too.
The soundtrack by uematsu already leaked from the alpha, not sure where to find it anymore, but I love it.
Thing is this type of game, once it gets you hooked, it's all you'll play - and then the subscription fee is nothing. FFXI was very, very profitable for SE, and they're hoping to repeat the success of that game. Knowing it's the same team that worked on FFXI through Chains of Promathia, I know it will deliver. You'll get a free month I'm sure to try it out see if it's worth the fee.
Micro$oft Played Opera and gave everyone in the audience a free 360, smart bribe..
What about the members of the press that take their job seriously? That might be a very questionable thing to do, and might actually backfire on them. A lot of publications wouldn't allow writers to keep that kind of thing, so it's like they're sitting there watching everyone else get one.
EA's supposed to be on board with Move support on tiger woods, they better damn well cause I already bought tiger11 for that reason lol.. We could see them on board with the whole EA Sports lineup, as well as crysis /w 3d&move and Dead Space 2, w/3d&move. Deadspace 2 seems to be an obvious good fit for move.
Sad thing was most of thier internal studios were working on Kinect games instead of hardcore games, it's BS that they say it doesn't effect core gamers. Rare could be making hardcore 360 games, Turn 10 could be.
From what's been leaked about the new PS3 model, all signs point to 802.11N as well.
Most of the stuff Kinect showed can be done on PSEye already. Head tracking in forza 3 .. already done in GT5. Pets game.. done Eyepet does it and more. Moving your hands and legs around to hit things, leaning to turn.. done in many Eyetoy/pseye games.
I bet it's a drawing pad, they'll try to copy what Sony's done with EyePet - where you draw things then load them into the game.
Don't know how well they'll lure existing wii owners, but keeping existing console owners from straying when the wii price drops they might succeed in. Well Sony has a better chance at that, considering it can do more or less everything wii can.
Funny the other people that tweeted during the event thought it was really stupid and weird. Like Cliffy's going to bash MS.
several people were tweeting during the event, even CliffyB himself was.
If they don't announce a PS3 version at E3, I'll definately get this..
Will the dancing be with just PlayStation Eye? or will it need move? Or a mat or something.. I think Sony is anxious to show that a 2D camera can do most of what 3D one can so I'm thinking the first option.
Google TV maybe? I could see a massive hard drive being necessary for that.
MTV games does Rockband, so I'm assuming it will be Rockband graphics/ character models? I don't see the appeal in dancing with avatars or cartoony guys. I'd rather have realistic looking characters, we'll see.
If Sony does a price cut at E3, 720 will move into full R&D.
USA Today took it down, It's almost like they didn't realize they weren't supposed to post the article MS sent them when it was received, but after Microsoft showed Kinect tomorrow.
I saw this game, and it instantly reminded me of flow on PSN, then the tile showing was a ripoff of pixeljunk eden art style. I just thought ripoff the whole time.
