I don't have a problem with giving props to any site that turns down the event - and then tells us they did. This is something that needs to be brought to light often.

It is undeniable that MS has a lot to spend on advertising, especially some that will go to gaming devoted websites. Why would IGN say, no we don't want any part of your huge advertising budget. IGN is a business after all.

They won't abandon them 'completely' but they will to an extent. Look at their first party studios, rare is only making kinect games now, starting with kinect sports. MS's business plan relies on 3rd parties to bring multiplatform games to their system. Unreal Engine 3... what is this 2007?? That's what i thought when I first played and noticed the unreal engine nuances on full display.. It really feels like a poor man's uncharted 2 to me.
They should have stuck with Sony, or at least used a better engine. Lessen learned, you can't release a new IP if you don't have the exclusive hype machine or crazy good graphics. I'm sure game republic will face a similar fate with Majin and the forsaken kingdom.

He kept bitching about instant gratification, sounds like he never played FFXI. I don't know why he has any place review MMOs. In this type of game, the payoff is the reward of finally getting something you worked to get for a long time. It works the same in FFXI. Instant gratification kills any depth in a game, and makes the whole experience too easy.

I think MS had a hand in preventing Activision from implementing Move controls on the PS3 version of CoD Black ops. This is for sure one game sony would pay money to implement move controls on, and represent a competitive advantage for Sony.

How many reach reviews have begin talking about how it's Bungie's last Halo game? I just don't see why that's relevant to reviewing a game. They hyped the 3rd one as the 'end' of the halo story, how many final farewells can they have?
