Yet back when Richard Marks, who was the guy who brought us Eyetoy, commented on the tech all the way back in 2004, before MS had anything to do with it, He explained there wasn't a whole lot that it could do that couldn't be done on the 2d camera, claiming better off/on sensing was the best feature. I don't think it takes away all that much of the guesswork in reality. Better interface control is the best thing u get with it, as it can better sense when you want to be read and w...
Where did Zipper/anyone say Socom 4 wasn't using MLAA?
You might wonder if giving the code out to 3rd parties might allow them to do something similar with the 360's cores, though I doubt it.
MLAA will pretty much guarantee a significant detail increase over Killzone 2. No one can really say it looks no better than Killzone 2 now. MLAA is the best AA available, Killzone 2 used Quincux which blurred every texture somewhat. This is only the beginning, LBP2 then this; you can bet Uncharted 3 will feature it as well. I just really hope 3rd parties can start tapping into MLAA too so inferior PS3 versions of games will finally be a thing of the past.
Ok Wifi included, you gotta start somewhere... MS next step: upgradable non proprietary hard drives, then of course the most obvious, don't force us to pay to play online. And finally built in rechargeable controllers. Then maybe they get it.
So pachter was full of it, as expected, when talking about the 'full Natal launch lineup'
All the comments from the controlled Natal environment will be 'cool' 'awesome' 'amazing' 'fun' 'groundbreaking,' you just won't hear what people really think. The naysayers won't have a voice, and MS will make sure of it.
It's probably one game, that happens to be LFD3, or a Mass Effect 3 teaser.
I would be more worried about the budget developers will put into Natal games, considering the small user base. Cause turn 10 has a game that looks ok, doesn't mean everyone else does.
Volleyball and disk golf look cool, but you'd have to wonder if Natal can do those two better, we'll see. I'm just really wondering about precision and gesture recognition with Natal, I'm really skeptical that it will be worse than MS tells us it is.
It's not just the component, its the fact PS3 forces all PS2 games into non-interlaced progressive scan format, which looks quite a lot better on most HDTVs.
Mine has PS2 compatibility, it's very nice to have over a ps2 because of progressive scan and HDMI out. With that being said, I barely ever play PS2 games anymore so I don't know that I would care much if it were gone, since i do have a PS2. A Side note: I saw ICO used cheap, I wanted to buy it, but then again there's a high probability Sony will repackage it for PS3 with updated graphics.
Apparently MS will have a whole ton of Natal games to show, whether they're full games or budget, probably budget. I don't think anyone really sees how Natal would work better than a controller for precision/competitive gaming.
For Hardcore games
MS Exclusives seem to be:
Crackdown 2
Fable 3
Halo Reach
Gears 3
possibly LeftForDead 3.
(Lets not kid: Sniper: Ghost Warrior is a budget 3rd party title - it won't...
I really wish devs like naughty dog would go back to early stuff like Uncharted 1, and move everything to the Uncharted 3 engine for that game.
That is a massive graphical leap from the last time we saw it.
If Microsoft thinks they'll actually sell 5 million of them, $50 might be real.
Well after reading the article.. It really fails to connect the dots that this will be Heavenly Sword 2, it just says 'core gamer 3rd person action/combat title'
That could be syphon filter, it could be something completely new that never makes the light of day; we really don't know. It very well could have been getaway 2 or eight days. It just says unannounced. It's quite a leap in logic to assume it's heavenly sword 2.
It seemed like most of the choppy stuff was removed for the Gametrailers.com version, the full version with the eye stab that was on the show showed a few parts with choppiness. The game is quite a ways from release, there's really no reason to worry about choppiness yet, it's an early build.
Man they better finish gears 3 fast cause Epic doesn't want to be in the wake of this.
At that price, I'm assuming it comes with a full software package, Adventure, Sports, Kinectimals, and Joyride doubt Dance comes with it considering that's 3rd party. But then again it might just be like the limited edition game packages that come out - where they're trying to milk the ultra-fans. I'm assuming the regular is like $99.
