That's just an excuse, they hacked it knowing piracy would happen more frequently than home-brew. Is it more than a coincidence that Sony shut down other OS, as a security precaution because they knew hackers were finally starting to access the insides of the system. Hackers had an entry point so they began tinkering away, not because Linux was removed. Linux was an excuse for them to expediate work that would have been done by other hackers. Let's get real if Sony left other OS op...

Say hello to cheaters Online for me. Awesome news for most people? Maybe you.

They still had to use the leaked service key (which lead to jailbreak) to get access to how all the system inside works, which took almost 4 years to happen. Only after they got in were they able to discover all this stuff.

This is bad news for online gamers, it means that a DNAS like system will be back and we'll have to wait longer when logging into servers so all files can be checked for integrity. Sony still has a few tricks up their sleeve to lock the system I'm sure. When you play online you still have to run code direct from sony, which will be able to detect whatever is done to the system.

Is it possible Microsoft gives all the IGN staff free xbox live? Maybe Sony's giving them free PlayStation Plus now to try to even it out.

Castle crashers scores an 8.5 on the PS3 and a 9.0 on the 360.. yet there's very little difference in the games other than when they were released. Go figure. PSN/XBLA/wiiware shouldn't be 'fair game' they review those games relative to their cost, they should be in a separate comparison. I mean they put Alien breed 2 into the 8.0 category, and left the PS3 out because they never reviewed the PS3 version. It's painfully apparent to me they simply review more xbla games a...

Optional is the key word, If Sony added home integration - you can bet it'd be optional. For instance you can turn the PSN info ticker off if you want.

Microsoft knows it's cumbersome, they just don't want have to give up what they see as a free revenue stream. Microsoft will sooner give up charging for live before they take the ads and forced viewing away.

Certain games tend to sell better when there's less (quality) options to compete for the same money.

Is it just me, or does that screenshot of PlayStation Move Heroes seem to indicate it's graphics are a lot better than I was expecting? Hope it's not too doctored up.

I agree, saying because it's story driven and they didn't want to make it hard to explain the 2 character is a cop out for the fact they didn't have the time or decided to focus on making other things better. I personally don't think too many people care if there's an extra person there that's not explained.

I really hope for an online co op mode like Uncharted 2 had, I've had a blast with it with friends. Too bad the whole game can't be played that way though, I'm really looking forward to Killzone 3 for that reason. I echo that statement that more than 3 would be preferable - although you can't argue that those 3 were still lengthy. It's generally hard to find enough time to play through a whole game online, so little chunks like U2 had will suit me fine.

I still don't understand why they added a VUDU app to directly compete with their own service, I really doubt you'll ever see vudu on Xbox 360. Is Sony really that passionate about choice?

Anyways Vudu is $1 cheaper for the best I can get with my internet connection, so I see little use for PSN Videos. PSN needs to enable instant streaming like their competitors.

the average is 29.5, it stays at 30, then drops to 20 for a few seconds it is noticeable, the average is put at 29.5 because it factors in all the time it's at 30. It is misleading, watch the digital foundry video for a better explanation.

Looking at Brink, Rage, and Crysis; none of them seem to compare to Killzone 3 in the animations department(particularly the death animations). Which is something that really takes me out of the experience and tells me 'this is a videogame.' If you haven't played Killzone 2 (or even cod) extensively then maybe the poor animation system won't bug you. They've done a great job with the environments and the textures, but seemingly forgot about making life-like animations - I...

Bad Company 2 seems more generic than KZ3 to me as well. Different strokes for different folks i guess. And you're getting disagrees because not everyone shares your views, which doesn't make everyone some kind of irrational idiot - there's a lot of people that love the killzone franchise, much like you love your Bad Company 2.

Great comment Ollie..

Stop hyping this game that looks f*ing awesome that happens to look better than any other console shooter on the market, whilst adding full co-op to the campaign and expanding in every way from it's predecessor. Just stop internet.

I think a lot of the scores for ME2 were riding the coattails of the first game. It was like the first uncharted, great game deserved better scores - so the sequel got the scores - but shouldn't have. The difference was that U2 improved drastically and deserved the high scores; where as ME2 took small steps forward and went backwards in some ways but was still a good game. I thought the ME2 scores were high because the press hadn't given a 360 game high scores to match U2 and ME2 w...

It really does make you wonder just how well KZ2 or KZ3 would sell if they were on 360 as well - but that will never happen.
What if KZ2 was a 360 exclusive and had Bungie's name stamped on it... I bet it would sell right with Halo.
