I have a feeling they might let one slide and give Infamous 2 good reviews, just to say they don't downplay everything Sony. Meanwhile Resistance 3 and UC3 will be 'disappointing' because they don't have a 5star Hollywood level storyline. You know Forza4 and Gears3, as well as several multiplats will be AAA, while not being knocked for what a Sony game would be knocked for - remember how difficult it was for most of them to admit that ODST was a piece of crap.
He's trying to get the loyal xbox people on his side so gears 3 will sell another load of games, and yea of course he's going to downplay the move. Everyone getting on board because move actually improves shooters, unlike kinect means less sales for Gears. He never allowed himself to like the thing because he's scared what the move and the sharpshooter might do to his business. He's a businessman not a fanboy.
I love mmos, I really don't want them to die out; so this is good news. With that being said this game just doesn't appeal to me with the superheros and all that. I really hope they can fix up FFXIV a whole bunch before the PS3 launch.
Hazefront, might still be good but it will get dogged if it's graphics aren't above average.
Microsoft doesn't own many game studios, their short term plan on buying (misleading timed)exclusives early on was only a temporary solution. It's far too costly for them to do it now when the PS3 has almost 50mil consoles to sell to. Don't expect any more big time exclusives from MS. Halo will be it after Gears 3. You can bet MS isn't making a penny off of gears 3.
The guys in denial, it's just too damaging to his ego for him to acknowledge the console he's always sided with doesn't have nearly as many good exclusives as PS3.
I wonder the exact same thing, how other FPS aren't being knocked for 'being boring, having one dimensional characters, and poor story lines' Gears halo, Cod don't suffer from the same problems?? to me they do and actually have worse story lines and more boring gameplay. I guess a game is a bore if it doesn't properly stroke your fanboy strings and doesn't have a fancy luxurious review event. It's pretty sad when one guys going on to how the game is a ripoff of ge...
They actually took their time with the review and had a fair play through multiplayer due to the beta - unlike most big name sites that knocked the game due to being mad at Sony for limited MP play time. It's not surprising they'd score it higher.
He's right I heard about this, how Crytek had implemented a better method that took very little performance hit to accomplish 3d. They were bragging about it. Don't think they mentioned KZ3 though - but they were definitely comparing it to how other games (including KZ3) were handling it.
I'm all in that's awesome. I threw in the sharpshooter too, I want to encourage retailers to do this more often.
I don't think Sony would start banning regular customers if they know mac spoofing is happening widespread. We really don't know how Sony is detecting and banning them that's the reality, You're simply making an educated guess about it being the MAC address they're banning.
Yea well Kmart's giving $20 back, amazon isn't giving me much besides this - seems like Kmarts the better choice.
How much is going to sell for on the store? only 2 maps it can't be much more than $5..
This review is right on, I kind of thought the game was a bit over rated. It looks great, is well put together, but it also extremely repetitious, there's no real substance or imagination at work.
That would be funny if 2k/sony and everyone else decided not to make an nfl game again, and the NFL was forced into cheap exclusivity contracts with EA every year, while the madden brand slowly killed itself. I wonder if that's happening, they aren't able to sell their licence at the same price that they used to - because they chose to screw their past partners over.
PSP2 isn't on Micro$oft's turf like PS3 is.. they may just like this console, it will give them an outlet for all that pent up Sony love they've been too scared to express.
He's right these reviewers will obviously have that cool trip to the fake strip club battered into their subconsciouses. To say that these trips have no effect on the review scores is pretty childish, and ignorant. Why do you think publishers pay big money to have these in the first place? That is extremely naive to think they 'think for themselves,' people buying the game don't get to go on this trip - they will always be influenced on some level.
They'll get a huge list of Sony haters/hackers pretending to sign on to the class action lawsuit - and it will just show how unrealistic these claims are. They'll have no foot to stand on. It will only make their next try at class action seem even more ridiculous.
'Gamers' what? they mean 'hackers'. You know this is just their way of trying to 'get back' at Sony for going after hackers - hackers always do the eye-for-an-eye thing. Hackers rarely see themselves in the wrong.
This game is much better than a 7/10, what a joke of a website. I haven't run into the issues he has online.
