Nobody has to ‘prove’ anything because MS refuse to give out their sales numbers, even though other metrics already give out comparison data. Considering it sold 4.5 times LESS than GoW4 in the UK and it didn’t even hit th the top 20 in the NPD (if I recall correctly), I highly doubt it’s reached the figures that were discovered for GoW4 sales a few years ago.
Maybe he’s talking about PC figures, as it’s on steam and the win 10 store, so more people may have bought it on P...
The steam version supposedly sold around 100-200k (if that): https://steamspy.com/app/10...
The player base on there quickly dropped as pc games simply got a one dollar sub to GP and played it on there instead.
I would say people may have bought the game to get the Ultimate edition with the bonus features, but MS threw that in GP, so I can't see any reason anyone would 'buy' the g...
If it was a third party indie or maybe an older title on sale, fair enough. But I can't see people doing this with MS Studio games as they have been basically guaranteed to remain on GP forever moving forward - so why would you waste 50 dollars on a game you have as part of your cheapo-subscription?
How is the NPD and UK charts not 'correct'? The NPD literally tells us the factual amount a game has sold in the USA, usually in comparison with other games that week or previous games in the series. The UK charts are also factual charts based on the number of units sold in the UK.
According to Daniel Ahmad: "Gears of War 4 sold 4.5 times better [than Gears 5] in its launch week, and Gears of War 3 – at the height of the Xbox 360’s success and before digital di...
Nothing to do with legality. If you bought the game then you can do what you want. If you're given a free copy of the game, you have to follow the terms set by the PR or publisher - failing to do so will usually mean you won't get any more review codes off them moving forwards.
Curious - where did you read that Outer worlds is the 2nd most popular game over DS? If you mean sales, it's been out longer...
Considering it sold terribly in the uk, wasn’t high up on the NPD in America (from what I recall), dropped out of the top played games on twitch and the Xbox dashboard, and quickly lost all its players on steam, I’m finding that hard to believe tbh. Especially when they were touting that GoW4 sold a few million copies last year when the achievement percentages came out and people tried to work out how many people that worked out to be.
But, just like anything the developer...
You can stream any game you bought on your Playstation via remote play from your own console. Sure, you’re streaming For free from your pro or base, rather than a paid-for Xbox one S in the cloud, but it’s still possible.
Plus, have Xbox actually confirmed the paid for version of Xcloud will give you access to your library because the beta doesn’t. Again, if using the remote play-like feature you can, but not the streaming version from their servers - yet.
I’d say more than some. It has over 800 games in the service with over 250 downloadable ps4 and ps2 games.
If it is, expect it to be around 20 dollars a month - 15 for GamePass and gold and 5 for the rental of an Xbox One S in the cloud.
Ever heard of PS second screen and Xbox Glass? They are second screen apps for iOS and Android that have been out since launch of the consoles. Initially, games like Black Flag and Wolfenstein allowed you to run the app and it displayed a map on there for you to refer to. However, nobody used the service so devs quickly dropped support. As such, seeing as the tech is already in another app, I doubt that’ll be pushed again in the scarlet.
Also, turn the Xbox off and continue...
Not saying the service isn’t good but this is a feature the PS4 could do with the vita since day one, Xperia phones also since the start, all PCs anywhere in the world since about 2014/5, and all iOS and android devices since earlier this year (in regards to streaming your own games from Your own device - Xcloud isn’t that though, Xcloud is paying to rent a virtual Xbox One S for a price)
I’m guessing their version of ‘good games’ is whatever games they give more than a 7 too (as that’s what they give the majority of titles they review). Regardless of their opinions though, 2019 has had many great games - sure, they may not all be big AAA games with massive budgets, but this year hasn’t been bad at all for being a gamer.
It’s like those people who constantly say there’s a drought on games. No, there’s just not making games that your narrow ignorant taste lik...
Very unfair score in my opinion. The game has post-game issues (which are being looked into by the dev) but it’s not as bad as they male it out to bee
Nope, the UK (EU) Nintendo refuse to confirm it's an issue, so they won't take joycons unless you have the original receipt and it's in warranty - otherwise they charge you a lot to replace their defect. Even though the American side is helping out their customers, the EU side is being stubborn and refuse to help.
I really enjoyed this game but the PS4 version is very buggy - I hope they patch it soon.
Why does everyone instantly jump on Sony and bring up the not safe for children aspect when that wasn’t even what they said... they said they didn’t want to expose their audience, many of which are children, to outside influences they couldn’t control. In this case, minecraft went from a closed system to a server-based system when’re people are now tempted with a lot more micro-transactions, servers that aren’t moderated by Xbox directly, a free for all in terms of who is on there across mult...
From what I’ve seen, it’s not the ‘critics’ who are crying about the lack of certain pokemon, it’s the ‘fanboys’ on twitter and reddit who are upset that they can’t import all their previous gen pokemon on day one.
True - it was a lot less scary replaying it this weekend though. But, I wanted to get through it before I jumped into The 13th Doll, the fan-made sequel which was official endorsed by Trilobyte to use likenesses of the mansion and characters - it even has the original Henry Stauf actor in it!
We have a review of that coming soon as well.
If you mean the images floating around the internet (as I doubt you're a developer with a PS5 dev kit), those were all fake - as usual. The controller won't have a screen on it as it'll drain the battery and wouldn't offer anything meaningful than a few stats or off-screen info like maybe a second-screen style map.
