Not surprising if true.
This game was pegged AAA from the moment it was announced. In fact, the recent controversial decisions by IW will not even be reflected in 90% of the incoming reviews (of which I predict 99% will be a 9.5 and up.)
The ones that do mention them will explain them away as "small blemishes on an otherwise exceptional game."
When games reach the "sacred cow" status--that just happens.
It wasn't "almost totally bug free" on the 360. The technical issues for both games were just as heavily documented for the 360 than they were for the PS3. Just look at the articles for the DLC released on the 360. It became a running joke that you had to wait a week after it was released before it could be downloaded.
Even the main games, both Oblivion and Fallout, had some serious issues. Oblivion was especially buggy on launch and Fallout had similar problems. Fallou...
Why would they?
R & C: A Crack in Time scored a 9.25.
I couldn't stop laughing at that little revelation.
they will censor it in NA. More specifically, they will censor it in the US.
You see, in the US:
Violence = ok
Sex = an affront to the traditional values of the country
Mac serves my gaming needs just fine.
I can play everything from WOW to Call of Duty 4 to the Sims to numerous RTS games (which is what I mostly play on computers).
So it's more than just Solitare and other shovelware.
I knew this a week ago when I pre-ordered the game. It was listed as the 17th then.
I thought maybe it was delayed again.
Or Batman: AA
Oh Kotaku, you'd think that after this

you'd take a more measured approach to your reporting.
You forgot introducing a black console with HDMI
The way people were talking, especially during the blu-ray/hd dvd "war" and in arguments over the need of blu-ray for games, DD was only a matter of months away.
Guess it's not as imminent as people would like to believe.
It's amazing how From Software can release two games in one year that receive completely opposite receptions.
I don't know exactly how people would go after this game.
The only thing I can think of is that in this game, it shows enemy forces destroying American symbols and, presumably, defeating American forces to do so.
I'm sure it'll cause a stir among some people and media outlets.
Let's see:
1. MGS 4 is the best selling PS3 exclusive--not Resistance.
2. Insomniac nor Naughty Dog (who is owned by Sony anyway) could NOT do 360 ports of these games because SONY OWNS THE IPs! (with the exception of Ratchet and Clank that is).
3. MGS has been on other consoles--and sold poorly to boot--so MS didn't "steal" anything with MGS: Rising.
4. Comparatively, HOW many games has Sony "stolen" from MS, IGN? Hmm?
5. "This i...
He does have a cameo in MUA 2.
All I need is 8,9 and Chrono Cross to come to the US and I can finally retire my PS One collection.
Pretty much every other PS One game I owned is on PSN (and now on my PSP).
@Murder
How would you compare them?
Forza has 2 games.
GT has 10 games (Including PSP)
I'm actually glad. I'm already spending nearly $500 on games in the next three months. Not to mention Christmas presents and a couple of Bday's thrown in there.
I get a fat bonus in January, so I'm set for 2010. But Feb-April is jam packed as well.
The original MGS was about 15 hours for the first play through.
