I really don't understand this constant whining about Sony dropping BC. If it mattered to people, then the 60gb and 20gb models would have never been phased out.
The fact the PS3 sold MORE after the removal of BC and the dropping of the price shows that people cared more about the price than BC. It was no secret that the newer, lower priced models had no BC--but people were still "angry" that it wasn't reintroduced? It's not Sony's fault your expectations got the bette...
There is no point in reporting this. It will get approved sadly. Which is ironic since certain folk swear up and down this site is run by Sony fanboys--despite the fact that there is at least two "PS3 is doomed" articles approved every day.
But I firmly believe this author is at least 6 years old or borderline retarded--the piss poor grammar and syntax lend credit to my theory.
The only sandbox games he can come up with are Assassin's Creed and the Fable ga...
That's exactly what I was thinking.
It was pretty much acknowledged by the gaming public and press that Gears 2 multiplayer had some serious issues. I mean, it was patched how many times after release?
Considering it's a rather large component of the game, the hiccups of this mode definitely didn't reflect it in the reviews. But I guess multiplayer issues don't count when reviewing some games.
Except when it does with regards to others.
2 damage!
2 damage!
Yup. Already available on PSN. And it's free.
It better get a new ending. The 360 ending pissed me off because it was sooo bad.
The same thing happened with Star Ocean 4. IF that game comes to PS3, I had they change that ending too.
Edit:
My bad. Thanks for setting me straight, n4gn4g.
A person can be both a journalist and a reviewer, you know.
The person could be a journalist working for one of the myriad of game magazines or even for their related websites.
No. King doesn't read the comments.
Quick to pull that "hypocrite" trigger, huh King?

On topic, this is a top notch bundle. I would definitely pick this up if I was living in the region.
I like how Rocksteady, a company with two games to its credits, just b*tch slapped some of these big companies who, despite all this time still struggle to make a PS3/360 game look as close as this game.
@shepherd
The travel to the bus stops so that you could fast travel was horrible. I agree. And probably ruined the game for me (well, that and the game ending bug I found right after opening up the southern part of the map. Needless to say, I never finished the game.)
I understand the need to create a "living world" but adding things like instant fast travel, a la Oblivion or Fallout, won't take too much away from the feel of the game.
But one ...
It's really not that good a game, IMO. The "story", which is a thematic rip-of of the Tales' Radiant Mythology "story," is nothing more than mini-quests tied together to one over arching plot--again, like how it was in Radiant Mythology.
As someone who buys rpgs for the story element, it's a really disappointing game.
So basically, we are to believe a company that's made a living this gen on being two-faced?
Yeah. Ok.
Considering the R&C ACIT is bigger in scope than TOD and, being a R&C game has built in replayability, I can say that MP will probably not matter. To be fair though, MP is purely incidental to me when I buy a game. If it has it, great. If not. It's no big deal.
The only thing R&C CAN NOT have is "too much variety." We all know how much reviewers hate variety.
I'd buy a remastered Ico & SOTC.
Now, if Sony could swing blu-ray releases of:
Kingdom Hearts 1&2
MGS 1,2,3
FF X, X-2, XII
And PSN releases of:
Chrono Cross
FF VIII, IX
I could finally retire all those disks that served me well over the years.
Dont think it was the choice of Kojima Production. But rather Konami. And it was probably a compromise.
Konami gets a multiplat Metal Gear (and the revenue it will generate) and Kojima gets to do MGS 5 (aka Peace Walker). Albeit on the PSP.
@Anti
What significant changes? Dual wielding? Riot shields? Knife throwing?
Doesn't take away from all the things I mentioned and have been a staple, in one form or another, in other FPS. Just watching the E3 demo vid shows how much they have to rely on scripted events, helpful aiming and overall poor AI.
But the changes I've seen are in the multiplayer (which seems to be the major focus of the game and, IMO, )--through new modes and an upgraded perks system. ...
Except it will get a free ride.
The "Modern Warfare"series has reached "sacred cow" status. Meaning, it could be the exact same game--save some cosmetic changes and minor tweaks---and it'll still be heralded as the greatest thing ever. And anyone who bad mouths it is derided as not knowing what's good.
For example, every COD game is extremely linear and has, about 99% of the time, the exact same weapons in every game (albeit modern incarnations)--...
@eagle
I know what the total was for MGS 4.
The numbers I posted were numbers beyond what they had been doing at that point.
MGS 4 pushed 230,000 MORE consoles than the previous month.
Halo 3 pushed 250,000 MORE consoles than the previous month.
The numbers I listed constitute a financial principal called "real return"-which is basically the amount OVER the base amount represents the "real" amount sold.
The thing that gets me with the xbox originals is that MS had the perfect opportunity to add achievements to some of their top tier titles--Halo and Halo 2.
Yet they didn't.
