Try to find the Lost Chapters version. It has more content.
But overall it's an average action rpg series. Then again, I fell for the hype when it originally came out and was severely let down.
And Fable II is a minor progression in the series and does have some decent moments--although the ending is complete crap.
I would hope it looks better than a game that was originally released over a year ago.
Oh wait..you were trying to be clever?
Honestly, I wouldn't classify the Mass Effect series as an rpg. Sure it has elements of the genre (leveling up primarily) but it's more a TPS with rpg elements.
Unlike rpgs (from Final Fantasy to Dragon Age, Fallout and Oblivion) level progression bears no weight on the ability to play the game. In those games, if you don't level up you will have a difficult time finishing the game.
In ME, that's not the case. I'm almost done with the game on a second play through ...
Saying it's a "console exclusive" then quoting it sold (actually shipped according to EA) 2 million units total (PC and 360) as a factor in this "article's" comparison = failure of logic.
Granted it probably sold a lot on the 360, but you can't say that it sold all 2 million copies on that platform.
All I have to say is this:
"Then there is the lingering question of the rumored PS3 version of BioShock found in the PC code. Levine responds quite clearly, "I promise you, there is no secret plan about the PS3 that we're keeping from people. There's no PS3 development going on that we're hiding. There's lots of stuff that gets into game code, plans change over time and we got an exclusive deal with Microsoft ... that's not a Rosetta Stone discovery."
IF real, this is akin to the Bioshock PS3 code found in the PC version of the game.
2k denied and denied it...until it came.
I'll take that bet.
I'm using Chrome on a Mac and I don't use chat programs because I'm not 12 anymore.
Who knows.
Bioware has said on several occasions that you didn't need to play the first to enjoy the second. The intro of ME 2 will, according to Bioware, re-tell the story of the first game.

And Bioware has said time and again that you need not have played the first ME to play the second. They said that the intro will give much of the back-story of the first game.

Hmm..lets ponder why they chose to revisit the original Prince rather than the new one
1. New Prince of Persia movie due in May..
2. Prince character in movie based off the "Sands of Time" trilogy...
3. 2010 Prince of Persia game using the same character from the trilogy...

Rather than continue the story of the Prince in last year's ga...
100% of those dumped over games need to learn a new word--balance.
Not saying the girl is 100% off the hook. Some girls are genetically incapable of understanding video games and tend to throw out ultimatums on asinine premises.
But if you have a girlfriend or wife, especially one who tolerates your hobby, and choose to spend untold number of hours playing COD MW 2 rather than, you know, keep up your end of the relationship, then you deserve to be dumped.
The Boss should have been number 1.
1. She turned "traitor," thus being hunted down by the full power of the US government, for the sake of protecting the world from nuclear war.
2. She broke the ribs and arm of her pupil/surrogate son and threw him off a bridge to keep her cover.
3. She died with dignity and in success. All the while knowing that the whole world thinks she was the most vile person on the planet.

Oh. ...
Not entirely sold on that auto-shoot function.
When those three guys came to examine that fixture falling, it would have taken real skill to take them all down. Especially if you were trying to sneak kill.
With it, that whole scene looked TOO easy.
Aside from that, still looking forward to it.
Ah.
Got it.
Thanks
39 million consoles and 20 million + LIVE subs (I guess both Silver and Gold, article doesn't say).
Why is there a 19 million discrepancy?
I mean, don't you need some form of LIVE to even play games? Using your gamertag and all?
I always sign in as soon as it boots so I don't know the answer off hand. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Toaster,
Except UC 2 IS NOT ranked above Crysis. The list isn't ranking from least impressive to most impressive. It's ranking visually impressive games by the year.
It just happens to be in a 10-1 format.
Crysis is the most impressive game of 2007 (it just happens to be numbered as 3)
UC 2 is the most impressive game of 2009.
If you look at the list, it isn't counting down from the least visually impressive to the most impressive.
It's showing the most graphically impressive game of the years 2000-2009. It's just doing it in a 10-1 format.
For example:
10. Shenmue (2000)
9. MGS 2 (2001)
8. Metroid (2002)
See the pattern?

One nagging thing about the article...she voiced Luanne in King of the Hill. Not Peggy.
No. The author is right.
I had the same thing happen as you. I took Jack's side over Miranda's. Lost her loyalty and the perks with it. But, all I did was gain some more paragon points, talked to her, picked the Blue option, and BOOM got her loyalty and alternate outfit back.
The only thing I lost was the ability to sleep with her. Which really didn't matter in the long-run.
As for the Suicide mission, the ONLY character I lost in my first play through...
