who doesn't support that?
all hail Megatron
Not sure about them supporting the war in Afghanistan.
But they are definitely supporting the war between the Autobots and Decepticons.
@demon
Yeah. Sony's ends March 31st. Not really fair to them that MS gets 3 more months in their FY to report numbers.
Now that this story is out there, expect MS to announce that the 360 has hit 45 million. I'm gonna say that they'll announce it Gamescom, which is mid-August.
And no one will question how they went from 41.7 as of the end of their fiscal year (June 30th) to 45 million in less than 2 months.
Of course it's capable of "going up to 1080p." The 360 can upscale an image with the best of them.
Oh, and the jabs about being a sub-HD console have nothing to do with the hardware. But rather the software. For a console capable of going to 1080p, there sure are a lot of sub HD games gracing the console--Halo 3, ODST, and Reach; Alan Wake; Ninja Gaiden 2; PGR 3 and Splinter Cell Conviction.
And those are just exclusives--which are supposed to ...
They need to add a "Delusional" tab to the list of bubble down choices.
Me personally? Hell no. With few exceptions, I could care less about playing multiplayer on games.
Doesn't mean there aren't millions of gamers around the world that would pay to play COD or Gears or Halo. And game companies know that.
That's the important distinction. As I said, despite my personal feelings--which are that it would suck--it is still a windfall for the companies.
@Midgard
Nope. It's not awesome. Hence the reason why I said, "Despite my personal feelings." Nor am I saying that $60 warrants a half-assed product. Both are crap ideas and company's that do that should be shunned by the gaming community.
What I AM saying is that, from a purely business standpoint--of which game companies are--charging for multiplayer on games that are popular and sale solely for their multiplayer aspect would print money. ...
Despite my personal feelings, I think it's inevitable. From a business standpoint, why wouldn't you charge for multiplayer? Especially on games known for their multiplayer--COD, Madden, Halo, Gears, etc? It would print money.
I'm probably the only one who sees the ISA/Helgast relationship along the lines of the Athens/Spartan dynamic rather than in Allies/Nazi terms.
Sure there are physical similarities between the Helgast and Nazis, but their motivation and culture more resembles the Spartans, IMO.
They don't understand that playing online is still free and that no one is forcing you to purchase PSN +.
Gotta love this.
Websites list Kinect at $149.99 and it's just a "placeholder." Not the real price.
Websites list games at $39.99 and it's "time for people to eat humble pie."
So why is one considered a placeholder and the other, being a lot less than was rumored, taken as gospel?
Yeah. Kenshi was cool. And so was Rain. There were a handful of decent characters that came out of the 3D era. But 90% of them were crap, IMO.
As for MK 4, I try to forget that the game happened. But he was in that game and in every game after DA.
Cannot wait for this game. The lineup, so far, is a MK fans dream. And there better not be any of the Deadly Alliance-era characters other than Quan Chi. I do hope Shang Tsung makes a return. He was my character back in the day of MK II (and still is for the PSN release).
Also, I hope that some other classic stages return--the Kombat Tomb, Scorpion's Lair, Soul-nado, the Courtyard and Goro's Lair. And some of the newer ones--the Falling Cliffs and the Sky Temple.
20 unlocked. 20 hidden (to be unlocked via dlc purchase).
It really isn't that great a game. From the floating driving mechanics (for use during painfully dull driving sections) and by the numbers gameplay--
1. "awesome, got this cool Lantern. Oops, lost it. Stuck with the small flashlight. Wait, found another. Oops, end of chapter. Lost all my equipment. Gotta start over."
2. "walk, walk, eerie sounds building to a crescendo, surprise! I'm surrounded by Taken. Let me go into this wide open ar...
And, unfortunately, it matters to no one. Both MS and Sony are pressured to release "something new" every year. They are constantly pushed to create new, successful IPs and are criticized if they don't meet the lofty expectations of the game-o-sphere.
Yet Nintendo can show new iterations of long-established franchises, a new IP, and because it stokes the fires of nostalgia essentially get a free pass.
Ugh..Dante and Deadpool are the new Cable.
But dang. Between this and Mortal Kombat, I feel like a kid again.
Maybe they should have ended the show with a new 3D TV for everyone?
Can't wait for this game. But worried that there will be 10,000 jedi/sith for every 1 of the other classes. Galaxies was ruined when everyone could be jedi/sith (which overshadowed it's other flaws).
