I posted this ^^^^ comment before your first edit. I was responding to your original post not any of the edits.

A bit of miss-communication.

Never said it made sense. I'm just using recent history as a measuring stick of what "gamers" are willing to put up with this gen.

But I think you just summed up this gen perfectly. From unlocking DLC that's already on the disk to paying to access online play that is the dominant logic running things.

It really doesn't matter. If someone bought the 4gb to play Halo -- or even the bundle as this article states -- they'll be more than willing to pony up the money for a hard drive to play co-op.

Edit: Wow. Apparently no one picks up subtlety.
I'm in no way justifying this. I don't even plan on buying Halo. I'm just pointing out the obvious trend this generation. Especially among the xbox community.

Yes. It did sell 1.5 "world-wide" aka the UK and US. Where the 360 console install base justified it being released there.

That's not the case in Japan.

If true, I honestly don't understand the rationale behind this. Other than SE wanting to squeeze out extra $ on a few thousand copies sold.

1. Apparently you'd rather come here to comment on the fanboys than play your Xbox. So... pot meet kettle.

2. More sales =/= better games. Why doesn't that ever get through you people's skulls?

3. You're a "writer"? Seriously? Wow. Remind me to never go to ps3vault.com if the caliber of writing is anything like your post.

I don't think it's an issue with Sony tightening the supply to increase demand. I think it's more the Gamestop employee trying to get pre-orders. That's not to say that Sony won't do something like that though.

I've had experiences with Gamestop employees trying to get me to pre-order games--God of War 3 comes to mind--by saying that they don't expect to "have any available for non-pre order customers" on launch day.

I'd hope Halo: Reach has more pre-orders. Since the game comes out in 2 weeks.

Meanwhile, GT 5 is coming out in November.

I have no doubt that once the game is closer to release, we'll see a "GT 5 pre-orders hit x number" article or two.

But I can play the spin game too:

"Only 1.5 million? Seems kind of low for a Halo game. I thought it was supposed to sell 10 million?"

@Stealth

So go with those scores if it makes you feel better.

But because some sites give a lower score that you don't agree with doesn't invalidate THEIR opinion of the game. Nor does it mean that they "dont like nintendo."

I liked that concept for the game "B.C." from a few years back.

And with MS's renewed focus on the PC, I think a return to "Black and White" is in order.

Honestly no reason to include 2 lightsabers in the game.

The hands petting the animal are not matching up to the real hands. In one scene the left hand is palm up but the guy's hand is palm down. He then turns his hand palm up to match it. They seem to be just guessing at what the gestures are doing. Not actually tracking the specific hand movements.

But that is definitely some hardcore p***y play. Way to go MS.

That was before Bioware was obtained by EA--or rather the game was released in the same year they were bought out.

But since the property is owned by Bioware (not EA or MS) they can release it for which ever platform they want. Regardless if MS published it or not.

Ninja Gaiden 2, for example, was published by MS but Sigma 2, which was the same game save for some content changes, came to the PS3. So it's very likely that EA could release both games on t...

Much easier to hand out the payoffs in a nice intimate setting.

I'm kidding.

This sounds like a good idea though. Less distractions than a traditional conference and better opportunities to go hands on with the goods.

chill man.

the s/ means "sarcasm on" and the /s means "sarcasm off". So what's in between is defined as sarcastic.

My was a comment sarcastically explaining the rationale on why people seem ok with playing as an American shooting people, especially in Middle-Eastern themed shooters, yet cannot rationalize playing as someone shooting AT Americans.

Btw. Jesus may have been a false prophet. I'm not Christian so I do...

A small percentage of gamers..maybe.

But the majority of people who play games? No.

All you have to look at is what games sell to see that innovation and creativity mean jack s*it. From Mario to Halo to God of War, and everything in between, developers will stick with what works and publishers will publish what makes them the most money. While taking a chance (Brutal Legends, Okami, etc) every so often.

Will hundreds of thousands of others? Yes. God help them. Yes.
