Eidos and Crystal Dynamics should just cancel TR: Underworld and release a "game" that has 9 gigs of images showcasing each of the "Lara Croft"s that have popped up over the years.

That way, Edios and Crystal Dynamics would save face instead of releasing the abomination that is Underworld. It might even sell more too.

I have two ideas for Eidos and Crystal Dynamics:

1) Kill the Tomb Raider franchise.

I loved the first Tomb Raider (even bought TR: Anniversary) but the series isn't even recognizable anymore. Kill it, please Eidos.

But if you don't want to kill it. Sell it to Sony and let them give it to Naughty Dog. Apparently, they know how to make a series that doesn't forsake gameplay for story and they can even wrap it in a pretty package.

2) Resurrect ...

While I may pick up this title, its essentially TR: Legends Redux.

I mean, the Kraken is the exact same one from the underwater tomb in Legends.

Also, the part where she is swinging on those rods over the fire is also similar to a level from Legends.

@Gam

uh..game informer has reviewed the game. It's in their current issue. It was a 6.75. There was even a story on it here at N4G but it kept being reported and failed approval.

Also, I have no doubt the game will sell well. But a high selling game does not equal a quality game. Both Turok, Timeshift, and other substandard games have sold really well on the 360. So take that for what it's worth.

Yeah, and I get what he's saying. But for me, I could care less about playing the game x number of times to find a piece of armor that boosts my speed or strength when the enemies probably wouldn't scale to these changes, like they would in WOW.

I can't say for sure on this, however, but it doesn't seem like it would be possible to scale enemies given the significant amount of loot the devs are boasting. I would assume patches but you never know.

I also wouldn't a ...

I think the reason I hated the Too Human demo is because of what it tries to combine.

First, I haaaate World of Warcraft and dungeon-crawling grinders in general. But for a game like that, collecting better gear and spending those XP is a necessity to continue the story and pushing deeper into the world.

With Too Human, I just don't see the significance of this loot grabbing and grinding because it bears no significance in the outcome or playability of the game. Unle...

What will the 60gb do?

The 360 is already cheaper than the PS3 in Europe (and nearly as cheap as the Wii) and it still gets outsold.

Were the last two time the 360 "demolished" the PS3 in the last 3 years the "BEGINNING" too?

i hope the OP is not serious.

If he is serious, then I pray he never reproduces. Otherwise the future depicted in "Idiocracy" is one person closer to coming to pass.

umm..the 360 has outsold the PS3 in Japan TWICE before. When Blue Dragon and Ace Combat both came out.

6514d ago 6 agree3 disagreeView comment

Apparently these sites have short memories.

When Blue Dragon was released, it pushed over 30,000 xbox 360s beating the PS3. The 360 also beat the PS3 when Ace Combat was released.

In both cases, the numbers went back down the following week.

Granted, Blue Dragon was a new IP and the Tales series is more established and therefore could sustain sales for a time, but the fact is, the 360 outselling the PS3 in Japan HAS HAPPENED BEFORE.

I get what you're saying. But that could be said about any console fanboy.

PS fans supporting the console early in its life when, for the last two generations, it's not necessary to own the console until at least the second year. With the lack of games, and the "waiting" that comes with the brand.

Xbox fans and their semi-tacit acceptance of the RROD, particularly if it happens multiple times. Sure you complain, but you don't demand a permanent fix and, ins...

As someone who owned an NES and an SNES, and currently owns a DS, it boggles the mind as to how Nintendo has survived this long.

The only explanation I can come up with is that Nintendo showcases a cast of characters that compels millions of fans to buy these games. Why else would people buy every Mario, Metroid, and Zelda game when its been the exact same game since the N64.

Sure some design elements change, but in three console generations of 3D Mario games using t...

The difference is, PS3 fans look at Worldwide numbers, while 360 fans seem to focus only on US numbers.

When taken regionally, the 40-50K the PS3 outsells the 360 each month is unimpressive. But taken as a whole, added with other numbers, and the difference makes a serious dent in the 360's overall lead.

For example, the Ps3 entered the market at a 11 million console deficit. In two years, its narrowed the gap to 4-5 million. While still a sizable gap, its telling o...

Actually Predator, the price cut to $299 came July 13, before the last (June) NPD numbers came out.

The price cut was in effect from Jul 13 onward, thus impacting the July NPD. So the PS3 outsold the 360 despite the price cut.

It's simple:

Multiplat games = can be downloaded from the PSN because, well, they tend to be less than 9 gigs.

Sony First and Second Party titles and third party exclusives = blu-ray is needed because they can be technically more impressive than multiplat titles.

I don't think it will fail. But releasing it a few days before Gears 2, as others have pointed out, will definitely kill sales. At least in the short term. In fact, if Valve wanted to make sure the game gets a larger audience they should release the game on PC in November then release the 360 version in January or February of 2009.

I know I will be buying Gears rather than this game. However, I may pick up this game later on. Come on, zombies? How can this NOT be fun.

If the true story about Too Human's lackluster review can get buried, why can't this obvious falsity?
