But I though 360 fanboys didn't want that "movie" or a game that had only "2 hours" of gameplay?
"Perhaps all that bashing was just simple envy and jealousy"
Right?
Didn't stop THQ from releasing Saints Row 2 or Capcom for the upcoming release of Dead Rising 2.
Neither of the original games released on the PS3.
Edit:
Continuing the story isn't the issue. The whole idea of importing your character data from the first game, including whatever perks that has, is just an option--especially since the whole Col. Shepard-KIA reveal (or obvious misdirect).
You can still create a character and be brought up to ...
This is what I've been saying (about speaking with your wallet) every time one of these articles pops up. If people buy this content, companies will continue to nickel and dime the consumer because they know they can get away with it.
Even if the model of progressive levels/charges is part of their business strategy, the best way to change that is to not buy into it. It's that invisible hand principle that will dictate whether a company see's any value in pursuing a venue that ma...

You know, I never actually thought people could be uninformed about Halo Wars but I was at Gamestop on Tuesday (Resistance Retribution and Chinatown Wars FTW!) and two kids, maybe 14 or 15, were buying a used copy of Halo 3. At the register, one said "hey, get Halo Wars too. Have you seen the commercial? It's like a Gears-style Halo." The other kid said, "I played the demo and it didn't seem like Gears. But maybe it's like it later on?"

Think of this clip as a placeholder of what's to come--meaning it's representative of the final product but using assets (animations, characters, background textures) that don't necessarily reflect the completed project. That is why the floor lacks detailed textures or the animations seem a little stiff, for example.
This clip is specifically showing ONE of the new features of the game--the Cyclops riding. Therefore, there is no need to go into uber detail on everything.
@Silly
The sales scale goes like this, according to 360 fbs:
360 - Any game that sales over a million is a success (see previous stories about Halo Wars, Banjo & Kazooie: N&B, Ninja Gaiden II, for examples of their hypocrisy), especially if it's a new IP.
PS3- ALL games must sale "equal to" or "more than" the first day sales of both Halo 3 and Gears of War (3 million and 1.5 million, respectively) or else it's a failure. This ...
Well, with the way things are going this gen, it could be all the stuff listed, or:
The long awaited (whether realistic or not) "FF Versus" multiplat announcement.
However, I'd peg an announcement like that (IF it happens) for TGS or E3.
-------------
Otherwise, I'm gonna say: Splinter Cell Conviction
I could see that. Especially with the "no information on Mass Effect 2" line from Bioware instead of an outright denial.
Who knows if that'll be a megaton announcement. I mean, most people expect it already and may not be surprised IF that is the news.
Warning: Using Xbox Soap may cause 'red ring around the tub.'
no kidding. What's interesting is that they had originally planned to release this DLC in February but decided to hold off because they were having issues.
Advent Rising
It had some technical issues and a wonky control scheme (at first), but it was a blast to play.
Maybe one day the trilogy will be completed. Or even better, patched on the 360 so I can play my copy.
Yeah, and the TECH DEMO for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed looked awesome too--then the game was released.
Yes, because in the FIVE MONTHS since this was actually implemented PS3 owners haven't gotten any new demos or new PSN games.
Oh wait..
Hey good job on picking 2 timed exclusive games (over a year in both cases) to pad out your examples.
You really proved...um..some sort of point..yay?
Regardless of the player's controller preference, it's still odd to me to see a multiplat game so close in sales--at least in the US.
It'd be like the 360 version of a multiplat game selling on par with its PS3 counter part in Japan.
"just wait till march of 07
Just wait till Xmas 07"
You mean the year 2007 when the PS3 outsold the 360 for the year? Even with Halo 3 being released?
"just wait till 08
Just wait till MGS4
Just wait till Xmas 08"
You mean the year 2008 where the PS3 outsold the 360 for 7 months of the year INCLUDING the release of MGS 4?
Good numbers all around. Especially for a February.
Console sales were to be expected.
The SF IV numbers are surprising--the 360 outsold the PS3 version barely.
For two days of sales, Killzone 2 racked up some decent numbers.
It may be the best console for rpgs, its just too bad that all of them but two have been horrid.
What the author doesn't realize is the difference between buying exclusives and offering incentives is in the approach.
Where MS actively pursued exclusivity in it's deals (dolling out $50 million for DLC, for example), Sony is letting the devs come to them and giving them the option of matching their dev costs. As they've always done.
I don't know how anyone can't see the fundamental difference in these approaches.
