I like the vagueness of the article.
The "Americas?" Umm..that's every country from Canada down to the tip of Chile and Argentina. Way to be specific.
Also, if the game did nearly half a million worldwide, I'd wait until MS announces something themselves. That is a huge numbers for a console RTS and MS would want to gloat.
but..MS has been known to quote VGCHartz numbers so who knows.
You may never know, tbh.
I doubt you'll see any "Halo Wars the most returned game in HISTORY" articles popping up.
Those are exclusive to the Playstation 3.
/sarcasm
So, to "stop Sony in it's tracks," MS is:
1. Going to announce a new IP?
Umm..yeah. I'm pretty sure Sony will too (Even Nintendo will, for that matter).
2. A harddrive (w/ a LIVE sub) and new game engine?
Hmm..so MS is going to release something that is already out but the only difference is that it'll come bundled with LIVE?
And a new game engine? Seriously? Every one of Sony's exclusives uses a custom engine. ...
And yet another 360 rpg with technical issues. If it isn't stuttering frame rates, it's long load times and freezing.
------------
But seriously, hopefully it's an isolated incident. I just started playing it yesterday and, so far, haven't run into this issue. But to be fair, I'm only about an hour in.
The article title (both here and on the actual article) is NOT what the article is about. The article is detailing OVERLOOKED and UNDERRATED games:
"Thanks to review, not many bad quality games are released and not many PlayStation fans know what a horrible game is. Instead good games are overshadowed by amazing games and in return we get [OVERLOOKED] games. So here is a list of the top 5 most [OVERLOOKED] games in 2008."
"So these are top 5 games I belie...
Damn, how many times does L4D need to go on sale?
This is the 5th time it's been on the Best Buy sales list since it's release.
Last chance?
Uh..GTA: Vice City and Liberty City Stories
MGS: Portable Ops
MGS: Portable Ops +
God of War
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
Dissidia Final Fantasy
Monster Hunter

What is so hard for people to understand that Sony doesn't have OR need 1 killer app in order to be successful?
They have MANY franchises that can sell millions of copies and move consoles. Just because the PS...

I've never understood WHY Japanese releases don't have subtitles. Most American releases have English, French and Spanish on the disk. And there are plenty of people who would buy imports of games (especially Yakuza) if the game had subs.
Plus it would be cheaper than localizing. Just offer a number of subtitle options in the original release instead of hiring actors to provide non-Japanese dialogue.
I think it was the Dynasty Warriors game
I just bought SO 4 two days before Killzone 2 dropped. However, I just started playing it yesterday (had to beat KZ 2, ya know)
It's not a horrible game (much better than Infinite Undiscovery) but there is a lot of things that need fixing--the camera and save points are the most obvious. But so far it's a good romp.
But I would totally buy a Director's Cut for the PS3 if released. I'm a big SO fan.
And the PS3 beat both of them.
Even the combined Wii and 360 numbers are still 10,000 short.
Yes because there are SO many rpgs like Valkyria Chronicles on the market.
Not like those unique gems of SO 4, Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia or Lost Odyssey. I mean, those are one in a million titles, right?
/sarcasm
Man, you don't even make sense. And I hope you're just acting because if you're like this in real life...then damn.
uh..the fans of VC LOVE the game.
@Hiruma
You haven't played WKC, Demon Souls or Disgea yet you "know" most of them "aint all that?"
Based on what?
Sales? All three have sold more to date than every 360 release so far.
Scores? Yeah, right. Famitsu LOVED Haze, Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant and they got slammed everywhere else.
How about you actually play these games before making such commen...

People spent $60 on Crackdown for the Halo 3 demo.
or $50 on Z.O.E. for the MGS 2 demo
and probably $30 on Advent Children for the FF XIII demo.
It happens.
The 'bullet' ad is using the in-game engine.
It's funny how these articles pop up every time the 360 sees a sales spike in Japan.
It's even funnier when they disappear for several months when that spike returns to normal.
SF 4 and RE 5 might sell better on the 360, in the US anyway, but PS3 owners can still play them. Just like they can play every other major multiplat release this year.
As for what else Sony has this year:
Uncharted 2
Heavy Rain
God of War 3
InFamous
FF XIII (Japan)
to name some potential heavy hitters.
I am curious how well Halo Wars did.
I mean, MS shouted to the rafters about Halo 3 and Gears 2 pre-order numbers and first day sales but so far there has been nothing for this title.
Except:
1. Killzone 2 has been in development since 2005
Three years BEFORE this design was revealed.
Maybe I should have put a "sarcasm" tag. You seemed to have missed the point of my comment.
And I do have a life AND a PS3 (and a 360 and Wii).
