Umm..these are demo specific features. They won't be implemented in the full game.
I mean, why would you need to level up in the demo?
---
The FF X demo, for example, gave you access to two guardian forces that you wouldn't get until much later in the game. Plus unlimited access to them--which the final game made their appearance in battle dependent of MP.
Nor could you level up or get XP--again, it's a demo.
Well, if the AC 2 features Da Vinci, Machieavelli and the Medici's, then it's about 400 years after the first game, which took place in 1191.
It's likely that Altair could have left (or been captured) and been taken to Italy at some point after he kills his master--who was a Rome sanctioned Knight Templar.
Point being, there is a lot of time between the two games.
I would have loved if they released that version of RE 4.
THAT actually looked like survival horror. Plus, it looked like it had elements of Eternal Darkness thrown in. That would have been an awesome game.
Hopefully some of these ideas pop up in the next RE game.
Still doesn't take away from this:
"Head of title’s studio says that Chinese market may require a home computer version
The boss of the studio behind the Gran Turismo series has said that the franchise may expand beyond the PlayStation format for the first time in its history – with a PC version in China.
Speaking to German site derStandard, Kazunori Yamauchi, head of Sony's Polyphony Digital team, said:
“It is very, very improbable that ...
The people who can actually read this probably saw the "Chinese market" part of the quote, right?
If it comes to PC, it's almost guaranteed it will only release in the Chinese PC market and no where else.
Sure is.
Until they say "GT is 100% coming to the PC" instead of "It is very, very IMPROBABLE that GT will come out on another console," Yamauchi said, "but PERHAPS it comes to the PC"-- Sony hasn't lost anything.
Besides, I thought if a game came out on one console and the PC it's still an exclusive? Or is that for only certain *cough* 360 *cough* games?
@right above me
How about you actually read the quotes f...
It's a shame though. There are some great battles spanning World War I to the present where the "good" guys don't always win.
Heck, I'd love to a see a WW II game with the b*lls to include the Hiroshima and Nagasaki mission.

Did you both miss the part where I said 1) the "Only on 360" logo means nothing and 2) the exceptions to the "Only on Xbox 360" logo could be counted on one hand?
1. Bioshock
2. Eternal Sonata
3. Lost Planet
4. Ninja Gaiden 1
5. Ninja Gaiden 2
And IF TOV comes to the US, I'll gladly amend my position.

I do know Japanese. Been playing White Knight Chronicles since release and am ...
I think the answer is yes. If anything, no one is forcing people to play it assuming they find it objectionable.
However, I'd love to see the "war" genre expand beyond what's been given--such as games that follow other groups besides the US, British, Soviets, Canadians, etc. I think a game where you play as Nazi's, Japanese, Iranians, Iraqis or other similar groups would expand the genre and offer new scenarios besides the typical fare.
Unfortunately I don'...
You're thinking of Dead Rising 2, which is confirmed to be for the PS3.
This is about Lost Planet 2.
You know, I don't actually believe that TOV will make it to the PS3 in the US. I think, for the US market at least, it will remain an exclusive.
Here's why:
I know the "Only on Xbox 360" label doesn't mean much (although the only exceptions can be counted on one hand), but the Japanese box art never actually had that label on it. Therefore, it was always a possibility that it could be released on the PS3.
It also wouldn't surprise me if a Europ...
I don't understand why this needed to be a PS3 game--from a technical standpoint, nothing about it screams current gen. In fact, it looks like it would do as well on the PSP.
With that said, the "old-school" rpg element intrigues me. I thought I was past my tolerance of this battle system, what with the advent of active battles and such, but after playing Chrono Trigger again I rediscovered it's simple charm.
I may check this out, either as a rental or as a...
That's what I don't understand. If you know it's a scam--and even say so before justifying your purchase with a "I love RE 5 so.."--then why buy it?
Companies don't care if you have reservations about it. Or complain that they are "ripping off the consumer." They care if you buy it or don't.
You can claim it's a "scam" or whatever, but if you still buy it then you're just perpetuating the cycle.
It looked like a cross between Mass Effect and Dead Space (the last pic shows a Dead Space-esque body suit).
Probably for the best, though. Their games that involved on-foot sequences (SW: rebel strike and the Indiana Jones game) were pretty mediocre. Even their NG4 version of Resident Evil 2 wasn't anything special.
They were really only talented at space combat games.
It looks photoshopped.
The "Final Fantasy VII" appears to be in an off color box. It has a blue-ish tint compared to the colors around it.
Plus, the "66" looks blurry compared to the other numbers.
However, it could be true...in a way.
1. FF VII: Advent Children article
2. FF VII on PSN (technically that IS on the PS3)
But I'm gonna stick with a photo-shop job.
well, anybody who saw the original pic at the GDC Kojima conference knows that this new pic is obviously part of the joke--a joke that includes the "Campbell Arrives!" teaser trailer.
The original pic is obviously Raiden.
But I gotta give it to Kojima--the man knows how to pull a prank.
I just really don't understand HOW people were fooled. All you have to do as look at both pics to know which is the joke.
April Fools.
Here's the original image

It could be a cane, but it's DEFINITELY not the same cane in this story's preview pic. So I call THIS story on the April's Fools.
Plus, the base of the "cane" in the original pic looks too thick and is squared on the bottom--like a sheath.

Except that the announcement on Tuesday is related specifically to the PS3. At least according to the press release.
"Four P's Sony needs for 2009 and beyond"
aka
"I want to write an article about the PS3's price but I need to make it seem like I'm not."
But seriously:
1. Promise - With those exceptions listed, Sony has been more timely on showing their games relative to their release AND showing a better representation of the actual game (meaning they've learned from the Killzone 2 target render).
2. Push - I give the auth...
