"While Sony hadn't yet applied a firm release date to the online shooter, it's looking less likely that the game will make that Fall window, if retailer listings are correct."
While it's possible, this quote above is all you need to know about Kotaku's so-called journalism. And the speculative journalism of the industry in general.
Sony never gave it a release date. Just because retailers pegged the game for November 24th doesn't mean it was an official dat...
Has there even been an official release of the numbers that Lost and Damned did? From either MS or R*?
I'm not trying to flame, but if those numbers for that DLC (which was pretty good, btw) aren't near 3 million, I don't see how the second DLC will hit that.
Watchmen: The End is Nigh Parts 1 and 2 – will be released as a single game available for the Xbox 360 on July 21 for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
So for $20 more you get:
Watchmen: The End is Nigh The Complete Experience –
1. Watchmen: The End is Nigh Parts 1 and 2
2. Watchmen: Director’s Cut on Blu-ray – includes an additional 25 minutes of footage not seen in theaters, available only on Blu-ray and DVD.
I think they should counter sue for copyright infringement and media piracy.
Unless he can PROVE that it was "tacitly" approved--meaning there is approved by not objecting (hard to prove because "tacitly" means there is no verbal or written documentation)--no court would take this lawsuit seriously (hopefully).
And saying that it's their fault for allowing it leaked online is a strawman argument. There are terabytes of movies, music and other med...
I don't think it'll be Level 5. Most people would expect them to acquire that company. But knowing how these "surprise" announcement's go, it more than likely is Level 5.
But for the sake of wild speculation, I'm gonna say...Tri-Ace.
Hmm..to anyone who's played ALL the Metal Gear games (both original and the "Solid" series), the story in MGS 4 made absolute sense. In fact, it was a perfect book end to the entire saga of Solid Snake.
If MGS 4 was your first MG game, I can see how you'd be lost because ALL of the concepts in the game stem from the earlier titles. But Kojima DID release the MGS Database to catch people up to speed.
I've noticed two things with stories on the PSP GO.
1. People are b*tching that Sony is releasing this instead of a new PSP. Yet when Nintendo releases a new version of the DS (LITE and DSi), it's the greatest thing in the gaming world.
2. People are ragging on Sony for the PSP GOs use of DD. Yet all we heard for a year after Blu-ray won in the HD movie war was how "DD was the future." So is it only "the future" if someone other than Sony does it...
A blog post from a Turn 10 employee is about as credible as a Sony PR rep saying that their new motion control is the best thing since sex.
Now, I don't doubt that some PD guys tried out the game and took notes, but to say that the two correlate in any meaningful way is conjecture by this employee.
I found something odd about a few of the articles praising Milo--they don't seem to have a consistent version of "Kate" in "Milo and Kate."
I've read one preview from Kotaku, one from Wired, and one from CNET and all three seem to have a different version of "what" Kate is--is she a dog or a person? Is she part of a story? Or is it something that interacts with Milo?
Each of these articles seemed to attribute one or more of the characteri...
And until GTA III came out on the PS2, the masses had no clue about the GTA series and it enjoyed moderate success with mediocre review scores. In fact, GTA and GTA 2 only ended up selling 1 and 2 million life time.
What made the series explode was word of mouth. Halo: CE became popular the same way.
Begging for a deal or not doesn't take away from the fact it's coming to the PS3.
But kudos on the backpedal/spin job.
I mean, you went from saying that news of a demo was fake because Capcom said they weren't working on a PS3 version, to posting news stories backing up your belief, to begrudgingly recognizing that it was coming YET doing so in a back handed manner. All within one post.
If MGS R had been announced exclusively for the PS3 prior to E3 AND THEN was announced as multiplat at the show---the article would have a point.
But this .. "brand new game for the long-standing PlayStation-only franchise" proves the author has no grasp on reality when it comes the release history of the franchise.
But if having the game on your system is "stealing" and deserving of idiotic articles, I guess there should be TONS of articles about...
There are only a few serious limitations with using a SSD-mostly involving wear-down. But PC's using such drives have been on the market since 2006. Apple has, recently, jumped on the SSD bandwagon as well. So it's definitely one alternative.
3 million?

No clue. It's probably the same reason why you'll be able to download it off the PSN almost a whole month before it comes to XBL.

You know, I definitely saw some Splinter Cell-esque influences in
Jaws
Close Encounters
E.T
The Indiana Jones Trilogy
Poltergeist
The Goonies
Jurassic Park
Schindler's List
Amistad
Hell, those influences were in the Medal of Honor game series he created (even though they came out about 6 years before the first Splinter Cell)
The only one I'll say MAY have been influenced was Minority Report.
Except that Splinter Cell (the franchise) was multi plat until Conviction.
If he'd have said Splinter Cell Conviction inspired him, you'd have a point.
Oh..except for his support for the Wii too.

I'm going to call it now:
Wii Vitality Sensor--- 6 million sold in the first day.
Everybody and their mom was calling Sony "arrogant" last gen. Some even maintained that name calling this gen.
Will MS be afforded such a label? Probably not.

You must not have traveled to the threads on Alan Wake, Natal, or Splinter Cell Conviction then.
Or is it just easier to come in here and play the victim?

That takes talent.
I don't even want to imagine what Itagaki would do with Natal if given free reign...
But I doubt most 360 owners would care. They seemed too enamored with Milo...
