Lets break this down.
The Enemy is already engaged thing is NOT a issue only from the retail release. While I can't speak for the closed beta(because I never got into it) I can speak for the Open beta and the enemy is already engaged thing was quite common during the last week or so of the Open beta.
That said it's almost completely gone now. I saw the issue the first day of the release and then never saw it again.

See here is the thing. You WANT to hate this game. Thus whenever any good news comes about the game you still say it sucks whereas I have a objective view and notice the game has issues but also has plenty of potential that most MMO's never have.

I'm gonna have to agree with Gago on this. While the game doesn't have nearly as much content as Final Fantasy XI or WoW(yet) It at it's core is a much more ambitious and better game. The combat system is incredibly fun and the areas are massive.
And while it's true that there are only about 6 main areas in the game they are massive when compared to most other MMO's and are riddled with hidden caves and underground mines and such ...
Of course it was built for a controller. The game is coming out on PS3 and most people won't use a mouse and keyboard despite being able to use one with a PS3.
Final Fantasy XI did basically the same thing. Everything controls far better with a control and you basically just use the keyboard to type to other people.
This is exactly what Final Fantasy XI did. All players were on the same servers regardless of platform. PS2, PC and 360 players all played with each other.
SE is also doing the same with Final Fantasy XIV as PC and PS3 players will be playing together once the PS3 version comes out.
The question of if MMO's can succeed on console is pretty stupid if you ask me. Final Fantasy XI started as a primary console MMO with far more then half it's population ...
Yeah she has a bad case of uncanny valley going on.
The person she is modeled after(I forget her name) is pretty good looking but the character model is off and just looks weird.
Personally when it comes to Mass Effect I'm a Tali fan. I like her voice and personality and it's kinda fun to imagine what she might really look like.
I'm so sick of these games trying to be a anime kind of game or Japanese game when they are from western studio's.
They never work. This along with X-Blades both tried that recently and they suck. They rely to much on the art style or subject matter(which isn't even close to looking like a anime in the first place) and then completely ignore that the game play is not fun or enjoyable in anyway shape or form.

I played the open Beta and now have the CE version and nearly every big issue from the beta has been fixed.
There is now a hardware cursor which everyone complained about needing. The interface is no where near as slow and laggy, Guild leves have a MUCH lower re use timer, Anima regains much faster, The framerate is better on nearly every PC that could run the game.

given the MASSIVE fan backlash I doubt it will even come close to what DMC 4 did.
The only way it could is if it pulls in a huge new audience and I don't see this game doing that. The whole look and feel screams emo and that's not exactly popular in the US and I doubt Europe and Japan will get it to 5mil alone.

The original Dante is far from Emo. Yes he had the hair covering one eye thing and while in the US this is a emo thing it's not in Japan. It's just another kind of style.

My main issue with the new Dante is small things. His mannerisms are just wrong. The whole taking a drag while laying on the statue thing at the end of the trailer made me wonder if the new Dante was gay just by the way he is laying like that.

The tokens are awesome. It's smart move considering if you are playing either Final fantasy XI or XIV your credit card info is behind that account. Plenty of Chinese hackers have been basically stealing peoples info in regards to Final Fantasy XI so SE made the Security Token and all it does is add a one time changing password to your log in so key loggers can't break into your account.

The Wii WAS going strong. It's since dropped off a crap load. The console itself is selling much less and most devs are starting to move back to the PS3 and 360 because of horrible sales on the Wii.

The video on DC's site is insane(The real thing not the stupid music video). The stuff Ken Block can do with a car is mind blowing. I wonder if you will be able to pull that kind of stuff off in the game.
Until 3D is more like a Hologram as opposed to the 3D we have today I have to say no it's not worth it.
