Personally, I don't think most get what Team Ninja's roots are. The Studio was formed to make Dead or Alive and branched out into stuff like Ninja Gaiden and Nioh later on. So, if one is talking a true return to their roots, it would mean making another Dead or Alive game but I'm not so sure that would work out for them currently. Dead or Alive 6 tried to be something that brought in new players but pissed off the established fanbase and said fan base didn't seem large enough ...
As far as I understand it and it's entirely possible I am wrong here. The NIS classic collection was a physical release but the first game can be bought alone on steam and I would assume the same holds true for Switch. I bought the collection personally so I never really needed to look to confirm it.
I loved Dirge back in the day but I have never gone back and played it because so many people hate it and I wonder if I was just a dumb kid or something.
That said a from the ground up remake would be great as it would be able to not only fix game play problems, but they could take another stab at telling the same story in a way that more easily fits in with what they are doing with the 7 Remake stuff now. But because of a lot of different factors, I doubt it will happen. ...
Soul Hackers is so underrated I would love to see ATLUS attack a game like that with modern visuals and what not but really anything Soul Hackers related would be incredible.
I just hope to god it isn't a friggin mobile game.
Right there with you. I haven't been following it very close but each time I see something I am a bit intrigued. I more wonder if it will all come together in the end. I always love to see something new come out of nowhere and nail it so heres hoping.
I personally don't get why people seem to have issues with how the game looks. It's a masterclass compared to the horrible crap that was the KOF XIV visuals. Sure it's not cutting edge or anything but it looks good enough to get the style they are going for across.
It also needs to be kept in mind the sheer size of the roster. It's a very strong likelihood the game will have between 40-50 characters at launch and that is quite a undertaking as it is. Still ...
I would kinda like a spin off series. Like Gutz I prefer fast paced Doom as it's the series roots but I loved DOOM 3 and I think a spin off series that is perhaps slower and more horror based would be cool.
I mean DOOM 3 was certainly divisive but it also got alot of love from a lot of people. Going back to that formula could be cool as long as it isn't at the cost of the style of games we are getting now.
I think a reboot for the single player portion of Quake would be quite interesting. The original game has a good bit of atmosphere and the idea of Cthulu like things happening was a interesting idea. I think it could be really cool to take the ideas the original game had and kind of run with them. Treat it not like a remake but more of a completely new vision based on those older ideas. While I like 2 and 4 I always found the move to a more space marine style of story pretty blah. Yes the ori...
I think his logic here is kinda silly. I personally only dabbled with the Siren before Gaige the Mechomancer came out and from than on Gaige was my main. I found her game play much more fun and challenging despite her obvious flaws and weaknesses. I think there will be someone for me to play and enjoy DLC or not when I finally get around to player BL3 but still the excuse here is really flimsy.
I read a interview with the studio head not long ago and he seemed to understand that they screwed up and need to prove themselves with this. It's cool that they have owned up to what went wrong with Agony and that they seem to have a plan to make a much better game this time around but if they are capable of such remains to be seen. I hope they pull it off I like a good redemption story.
I was thinking the same thing to be honest. Being the last show of the day I think there is a decent chance a good couple of people had been drinking before the show and were thus far more rowdy.
If that isn't the case it seems so odd cause while people attending the other conferences were excited and cheered no one was as hyped as they were here. Either people were drunk, overly excited fan boys or something more fishing is going on.
I agree that Silent Hill was one of the better ones despite still having issues. I mean the Director was clearly a fan of the game or aware of them at the very least cause certain shots were replicated incredibly well like the walk down the ally and the camera twisting and turning just like it did in the original game. There was so nice attention to detail in that way all over the movie but other things like change of Harry to a mother kinda messes up a few other things later on in the plot a...
My nephew is also on the spectrum and his issues with games are mostly via sound. I remember showing him Shantae Half Genie Hero and though he liked it his first question was if there was a way to completely turn off the music as it just made him uncomfortable. It's a hard issue to pin down as some games the soundtrack gives him no issues and others cause him great stress and discomfort. We know it's something to look out for but we still haven't figured out a pattern yet.
@Vasto
For visual fidelity I agree but I don't want the awesome over the top style of Killer Instinct to be replaced with a super real visual style for MK. While the look doesn't bother me in MK I do have to say I preferred the style of MK9 alot and would have loved to see that look executed with the level of graphical prowess we see here.
The way I have always looked at this argument is simply that you would not walk up to a film director and ask them to remove the blood and gore from their slasher flick. No you just don't watch that film.
So why the hell when a game does something that isn't for everyone do people demand the vision of the games director be changed for no reason. Not everything needs to be for everyone.
All that said I'm a massive fan of Celeste I have played...
I enjoyed the story for Totori more but had more fun overall with Meruru. Love them both though.
@ZaWarudo
That is what I thought. I had assumed they delayed it because some people didn't like how it felt and they knew if they delayed it and took time to make it solid it could end up being something special.
Either way I hope they refine the game a bit it was certainly rough around the edges and the time the game has spent outside of the public eye could easily have fixed that. Guess the big question is what exactly the team has been doing wit...
The game is based on the PS3 version that never came out in the US and that version had full voice over for everything and added tons of new lines so there would be many new lines to record.
I personally thought the game was quite good if you played it on PC and didn't have to deal with the horrific frame rate the 360 version had. It's not perfect by any means and has a few game play issues here and there but I don't think it's bad. I find many but not all think the game is bad because all they know was the 360 version which was a legit train wreck and borderline unplayable at points due to the horrible frame rate. Not perfect but I liked the world and some of the...
I don't feel like custom backgrounds is ever going to happen in the way people want it. I mean the background changes based on the game you have selected so what else would they do beyond having it for the explore tab.
An idea that could work would be giving the player complete control over how the explore tab is displayed and not just a few minor variants and then with that perhaps a custom background would have more meaning. Still, I am not to bothered by not having ...
