How large is this update? Hopefully not hundreds of MB like they sometimes are. I guess I'll see later.
Multiplayer is really cool if two people can sit side-by-side and play together. That's what was so awesome about the old days. Sitting next to a buddy watching while it was his turn. Maybe giving him a nudge when he needed to turn to avoid the ghost or jump the barrel so that he would lose his turn and you can play.
Those are the kinds of multiplayer experiences that developers need to remember. Sure, it's fun to get into an online fragfest with friends sometimes, but it isn't t...
Completely agree. I'm primarily into single player because I just don't have the time to spend playing online with other people.
The console war has been going on since forever. I remember when the Intellivision released and owners started lording it over the 2600. It didn't start with people bashing the PS3.
Yet another round of the most stupid debate ever.
I don't care what Ebert says. If games are lowbrow then I guess I am too since I enjoy them so much.
Not taking sides, but I bet that publishers would absolutely love to move to digital distribution if they could. They don't want you swapping games with your friends and they don't want the cost of pressing discs and buying cases. Not to mention the nefarious DRM schemes we'd be subjected to.
Sure, it isn't feasible right now and I think we all understand that. But I'm willing to bet that publishers really do want it and for a lot of reasons. It has disadvantages for the consumer...
Not sure where you live and why biologists make paper, but around here an awful lot of paper is made from pine trees, not eucalyptus. I see train cars full of chipped pine pulling into the paper mill every week. Pine is also used as one of the main building materials for new houses here.
As far as manuals, they've been so reduced in quality over the years it probably wouldn't hurt to dump them. I like having one, but in some of my games they're little more than legal notices and ...
I will buy this. I don't think there's much chance of getting unaltered versions of the original trilogy. Lucas has said many times that what matters most is his vision, not the fans' desires.
@webeblazing
How good are you at math?
1024x768 = 786432 pixels
1280x720 = 921600 pixels
How is that "over 720p"? That resolution is sub-HD. XGA 4:3 ratio and has been achieved on PC monitors for more than a decade. Nothing HD about that. What happens is the PS3 upscales that image to the fantastic visuals we see today.
@The Wood
I'm not hating. Just saying that this stupid argument is stupid, which I think we ca...
It's just crazy. Metal Gear Solid 4 ran at 1024x768 on the PS3 and in my opinion it is a really graphically impressive game. ( http://forum.beyond3d.com/s... for those of you who don't believe it). I own it and I love it!
All I'm saying is that this is probably the dumbest argument I see played out here over and over. There are tons of games on both 360 and PS3 that render at 720p or better, Ther...
You know, the thing about this is that there are probably many games on both the PS3 and the 360 do the same thing that is being talked about here. To me it doesn't really matter what the image is in the framebuffer. What gets to my TV is either 720p or 1080p, and that resolution is consistent.
I don't know anyone who plays their games in such a way that what they see on-screen is rendered directly from the framebuffer. These consoles have image scaling and resampling hardware th...
I swear I don't understand the hate for this game.

What's up with that metascore? 1.9? The console warriors are out on the front lines with this one.
It's pretty pathetic. Just like the resolution argument. How many people here play their games straight from the framebuffer? I can answer that. None. So you would never know if the images in...
I don't care for shooters or I would have picked this up. It looks amazing and everyone seems to love it. Giving KZ2 it's props, but shooters bore me to tears.
Space Deadbeef is an awesome free game. I recommend it. Too bad the Intellivision emulator isn't available in the US.
EDIT: Wait, there is a US version! Awesome!
I wonder why there's so much hate for this game? Considering how long this game has been in development there should be no reason to expect that it wouldn't be a high quality product.
Virus writers don't skip Mac because it's impossible to compromise. That community of people who write viruses are about credibility and respect through the amount of damage they cause, and there's not much credibility in compromising a small percentage of users that only make up about 5% of the overall OS market. These people focus on Windows because that's where they can do the most damage.

Here's some info on Mac viruses. Apple's OS software has exploitable holes just like Windows and Linux. Just because you don't hear about it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen, which is just what the hackers love.
I have fond memories of most of those franchises. But at some point the sun sets on everything. Take Crash Bandicoot. It rocked hard when Naughty Dog was at the wheel. But based on the last few iterations I think it deserves the honor of just living on in memories.
So soon after the last update. I wonder why they didn't just release this update and the last one at the same time?
