Microsoft isn't talking Gears of War 4. The title is very misleading.
At the start of this generation there were many articles about how it cost so much to develop games that the single player experience was going to be sacrificed in favor of the replay value that multiplayer offered. And I think for the most part that's been true. That's one reason that we see so many shooters. Because they rely on multiplayer for their longevity.

Nope, not burying my head in the sand at all. I'm just skeptical that:
A. This site actually had more than 500,000 real, indivual people respond to their survey. They said themselves that they had to work to weed out duplicates.
B. That it was controlled in any way. Look at Metacritic's User Scores. People tend to go out of their way to rate against games because they think they're helping win some stupid console war.

The Nomad would have rocked hard if it had a little better screen and didn't eat batteries so quickly. The Genesis had an excellent library and being able to take it anywhere was pretty awesome.
I wish I still had my Genesis.
Oh, and I had Action Max. It was mentioned as part of NEMO. Action Max did not work well and was not fun at all. I think that's the only system I ever actually put into the trash.
Oh my gosh, I bought so many terrible Atari 2600 games. But I'm the kind of person that likes trainwrecks, so I played them anyway.
I actually enjoyed playing Pac-Man and ET on the 2600. Yeah, I'm that guy. The only bad games that I really, really hated were the Swordquest games. The instructions were awful and I had no idea what I was doing.
Same here. I have some pretty excellent games that I haven't made it all the way through yet. I get sidetracked by new games or my attention goes elsewhere.
I still haven't made it all the way through Assassins Creed 2 or Infamous, and I've had Infamous pretty much since launch. I'll go a month or so without playing it then start over because I've forgotten where I am.
For me it was Halo 3. I bought the game thinking that it might just help me get interested in shooters.
I ended up trading it at Gamestop when they had a 10% bonus for Halo 3, which was going for $34.99 trade-in value, and a 20% trade-in bonus toward Super Mario Galaxy. So I ended up pretty much swapping Halo 3 for Super Mario Galaxy. Good deal if you ask me, all things considered.
I've never heard of this site and they don't really cite what controls they used. I'd take it with a grain of salt.

People who want technology like this aren't looking at it for what you call "serious" games like shooters. They want to play games that are simple, yet fun. Which is something that this industry really has lost.

I'm curious to see what Microsoft has to say about the technology at this year's E3 That's when the listwars ammo will be announced and we'll see how much the technology has improved in the last year. Until then all of the trash talkers are just doing what they do best, talking trash.
I'm curious to see what improvement there has been with Natal and Move since last E3 when the convention comes around again in June.

It's a bit disappointing that so many people want to see this technology fail. I don't get it. If you don't like it you don't have to buy it. Let those that are looking forward to it give it a shot.
I only did steps 4 and 5. Guess I did it wrong. Less than a week later I had a 360 again.

When Microsoft changed from the blades to NXE it didn't remove any functionality from the console. Everything you could do before was still there. I did like the blades better, because they were simpler. But NXE is a much more rich experience.
