Your PS3 is dead? Sorry to hear that. You can call Sony and they'll repair it, or you could buy a new PS3. I'd hate for you to miss out on all of the great games.
I don't really find it all that surprising. Not all developers are going to be able to use the technology in a meaningful way. The Wii should have taught us that. Only Nintendo seems to be really good at it.
This isn't going to be a "hardcore" game technology. I know many people want to think it is because it's from Sony and the demos look cool, but it isn't going to redefine gaming any more than the Wii has.
Now, now, now. Don't go making sense. It will get in the way of the impending fanboy battle we're about to witness.
By the way...bubbles!
Wow, really? Since you can tell the future would you care to share some lottery numbers with us? I could buy a lot of video games if I won the lottery.
What an eye-grabbing, flamewar inducing headline! Let's see what happens!
What I like about the article, now that I've read it, is that it essentially says that it will take another year to erase the 360's one year head start. So much delicious irony in that statement, because it means that things are still pretty much like they were from the beginning. It also completely ignores that the race for the "top" spot also includes Nintendo.
It will be interestin...
Putting boobs in a video game doesn't give it "mature" appeal. It makes hormone-filled teens want to buy it. That's why they do it.
Dude, I had Thunder Force 3, too! That was when the term "shooter" meant a game that was actually fun!
And the world was underwhelmed...
Considering the US has been experiencing a period of deflation for the last year or so I doubt that's the cause. -0.34% in 2009. However, the first 2 months of 2010 have seen inflation, so I guess it's possible.
Because they will?
Streets of Rage as a head-to-head fighter isn't something that I'd go for, but I would like a remake that retains that beat-em-up feel would be awesome. Like a new Final Fight!
I want Revenge of Shinobi. That was probably my favorite Genesis game.
Now I wish I still had my Genesis. Perhaps a quick trip to eBay...
I've been looking for a game that's just fun to play where the point is something other than killing people to move the story along. I never seriously considered Modnation Racers before, but I think I'll check it out. Especially if it is just plain fun.
It makes more sense to call it a Dynasty Warriors killer than a GOW 3 in my opinion. Not sure I'd call it insecurity, exactly. But perhaps reaching a bit.
Have to agree. The first game was definitely more like Dynasty Warriors.
I got so bored with the first N3. It was kill a bunch of enemies, move a few paces, kill a bunch of enemies, ride a horse, kill a bunch of enemies...repeat ad nauseum while a kill counter increments. With a little bit of story thrown in to explain why you're moving a few paces or riding a horse or whatever.
Some people really enjoy that kind of game, but I don't. I really hope this game is more enjoyable than the first.
This one?

God of War III does not use in-game for all of their cinematics. For some they use in-engine that have been recorded and are played as video. Bruno Velazquez of Sony Santa Monica confirmed it.
The point is that it is standard practice to do this. Cinematics are supposed to look cinematic.
It is probably one of the most stupid flamewars this site has seen in a while. A 6 page argument over something that is common practice in the industry.
I completely agree. You don't play graphics, so gameplay is important as well.
I tried Home for a while, but ultimately I just didn't get it. There are a lot of people who like it and I hope that it continues to evolve into what Home fans want it to be.
