Most of the violence and gore in video games, television and movies is stylized, not realistic. It doesn't compare at all to the real thing. To believe that the violence makes games more realistic is an understandable mistake, but it's still a mistake.

Lately I've been looking for games that are fun without being ultra-violent. Blood and gore doesn't always add to the experience in my opinion. Neither does nudity or bad language. It's best to take everything in moderation, including video games.

People like to bash the Wii, but I've been enjoying Super Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Games like that are just plain fun and they give me a break from the likes of Red Dead Redemption. When Crackdow...

Can't deny that the game looks good. Definitely lots of eye candy going on there.

It's not the worst. This stuff has been going on for decades. It's more prolific nowadays because the world wide web offers a soapbox for the idiots to stump from.

Reading that article made my brain hurt. It is so poorly worded in so many places, and doesn't really provide any new information.

If you haven't read it, don't bother. You've seen this same stuff in other places.

I can agree with you that in the last 18 months or so the PS3 exclusives have been outpacing 360 exclusives. At least as far as my favorite genres are concerned.

Good to hear that it is selling well. Good sales will hopefully guarantee good support from developers. Sony has already shown some good software support for the initial release, so here's to hoping that the momentum continues to grow.

The review scores are all over the place with this game.

Wow, just buy what you like.

That's too bad, really. I'm going to play it to see if there's anything there I like. Hopefully it's worth the $25 I paid, but if not I'll just trade it.

I'm not sure that the PS3 is going to proliferate 3D like it did Blu-ray. Not that the PS3 isn't a capable machine. PS3 certainly will help make it mainstream, but it won't be the main factor. It's just that things are different now.

Back when PS3 released it was like buy PS3 get Blu-ray for free. With 3D it's more about the TV and the glasses than it is the player. There are cheaper options than PS3, even from Sony, for people who just want 3D movies.

I only paid $25 for it, so if it doesn't entertain me I'll just trade it toward something else. I guess I'll see when it gets here.

I'm looking at it from the perspective that the first one wasn't exactly strong on story, but the orb hunting was a blast. So if it retains the gameplay elements that I liked I'll be happy. If not, it'll get me $30-$35 in trade-in credit for the first couple of weeks and I'll find something that I like more.

I have a $15 Dell gift card, so this is looking more like a $24.99 buy for me. Not sure if I can pass that up.

Maybe I won't be getting it this week. Sounds more like a $40 title than a $60 title if it's really just more of the same.

Game's looking good. Can't wait!

Loved the first one. I still play Keys to the City mode all the time. I hope this one's as good, because I'll be picking it up this Tuesday.

Couldn't have said it better, Lombax. A bubble for "Well said".

I agree. I think that Toulouse is off-base about achievements. That's not what is going to make so-called "hardcore" gamers want Kinect. There are games that people are ashamed to have on their gamercard and I imagine that most of Kinect's launch titles are on that list.

People tend to think that the majority believes as they do. So if Billy thinks something is awesome then Billy believes that most other people also think that thing is awesome. It's a natural tendency in people.

I don't know if there's a disconnect between Microsoft and their customer base in general, but I know there is a disconnect between Microsoft and me right now. I haven't connected with Kinect and unless something changes I doubt I will. I'll still ...

This is one guy's opinion and people are making out like it's the end of the world. And the submitter should be ashamed for not using the original title.

I tried Halo, but I couldn't get into it. I'm just not into shooters. But I know people who still play Halo regularly and they enjoy it. So live and let live.
