There are so many sites that have mobile-specific content or completely avoid Flash that it isn't even a problem any more.
A lot of people believe that Flash is too ingrained in the web to ever be toppled, but Flash is proprietary. The HTML 5 standard is going to break the reliance on Flash and allow developers to create rich web content that is supported by browsers without the need for plugins.
I could very well be wrong, but I think we're going to ...
iPads are all over the place where I work and the thing really is an amazing piece of kit. There are some pretty awesome apps like iSSH and Mocha Remote Desktop that allow it to be a dumb terminal into other servers on the network or even your desktop machine back at your desk.
There are great diagramming and drawing tools. The $10 office-type tools are an exceptional value for word processing and presentation. The possibilities for true productivity with an iPad are enormou...
I wonder how many people were stupid enough to register for The Pirate Bay with real information? Seems to me that someone wanting to hack a site filled with anonymous users engaging in illegal activity is a pointless exercise.
Open-world games are one of my favorite genres. I've loved them ever since Grand Theft Auto III. I like being able to explore and take on side missions as I want and then move the story along when I'm ready to.
Mass Effect was a good example of a great game with a great story that offered lots of exploration and side missions. The main story isn't rushed along at all.
I just found new games to look into after reading the article. I'm glad it ...
I've really been enjoying all of the listwars. Not only have we seen games going head-to-head we've seen studios pitted against one another. Such an awesome installment of such a timeless game.
I'll say that there isn't a whole lot heading to the 360 this year that I'm excited about. But to be honest, what's coming for the rest of the year on the PS3 isn't all that exciting to me, either. Most of the big guns that interest me on both 360 and PS3 ha...
Not touching that one.
The stupidity never ends. This game is going to sell a couple of million copies, easy. It has not already failed.
Very weird article.
I'd figure that the people who haven't played Crackdown 2 would be tired of bashing on it by now. I guess I was wrong.
I've seen enough people who liked the first one say how the second is more of the same. As someone who really enjoyed the first, I'm looking forward to more of the same. This article confirms that.
Hate on it all you want, doesn't bother me. Too often people miss really great games because they listen to the talking head...
I'm a huge fan of Time Crisis. But I know that I can't possibly be seeing people gush about how awesome Move as a lightgun controller. Seriously? This kind of thing has been around for 30 years in arcades. It's also been done on the Wii. It is a rather simple use of the technology and from the video Move doesn't really add anything.
I'd much rather have a GunCon than a wand to play this.
I may be in the minority, but I always thought that the original 360 and the fat PS3 looked too much like toys. Well, makes sense because they really are just expensive toys, but I digress.
I much prefer a console to have a low-profile look. The Wii was nice because without the base it just looks like a DVD player. Black Wii is even better. The slim PS3 is an improvement over the original in my opinion, but the curvature still looks unnatural in an entertainment center where ...
Exactly. Looking forward to my copy arriving.
The level of stupidity on this site for this title is astounding. Is this what it takes to be part of the "in" crowd?
I like my PSP. I'd buy a PSP2.
Charming comic. Kind of funny, actually.
Only time will tell if Microsoft's strategy was the right one. Based on the types of games Microsoft is showing it's clear who the market is, so whether that's the right decision or the wrong decision it appears that the decision has been made.
I guess come November we'll see if all of these armchair quarterbacks were right about Microsoft making the wrong decision. For now it's fun to see how sure of themselves they are.
Oh look, it's this thread again. The reviews for the game have been mixed. The consensus of people who wouldn't have played it anyway is that it is the worst game ever because that makes them look cool on the internet.
I guess I'll find out when my copy arrives tomorrow. Based on what I've read I hope it's at least worth $25.
Kinect is generating interest and some people want it. The data definitely supports that. Hopefully Microsoft will take advantage of the interest and build some really strong software support for the device.
I really don't understand the vitriol toward this thing. Any time there's a Kinect article the hate-mongers come out. Calling people ignorant for being interested and throwing up the lame EyeToy comparisons...whatever. It's very easy to see where the true igno...
Seriously! You can't really get it new any more, but you can pick it up for less than $10 used. It's totally worth it with the control patch.
Kameo was not a bad game. I don't care who knows that I enjoyed it. I guess I'm not as insecure as some other folks.
I actually bought a new copy of Kameo when the first one I had cracked. I accidentally broke it taking it out of the case. The game was a lot of fun. It had great action, puzzles and platforming. I'd recommend it to anyone as a classic 360 game worth giving a spin.
Only one I've played is Lair, and it wasn't that bad with the analog control patch.
It sucks to read about when someone's console dies. My 60GB BC PS3 is still going strong, but I fear that because it is an early model that it will soon meet its doom. If it does I'll pay to have it repaired because it really has become a cornerstone of my home entertainment system.
I had one RROD at the end of 2008 and that replacement system is still going strong. I still have about a year left on my RROD warranty since the 2 year Microsoft service contract I bough...
