I still play quite a few PS2 titles on my PS3, particulary fighters. I bought Soul Calibur III to play on the PS3.
Tons of people play original Xbox games on their 360. Especially Halo 2. I still play the Star Wars Battlefront games on mine.

What does "best market" mean? Because North America is the largest market and Japanese influence in games is rapidly diminishing outside of Japan.
What's the total install base in Europe for both systems? I mean, not just the first 5 months?

All of these "defense forces" and "protection groups" are stupid. Is a product so bad that it can't stand on its own without groups of fanboys burning down the internet to protect it really worth it?

I find it funny that people are talking about how much a $399 PS3 is going to sell when such a machine doesn't even exist. That's just sad.
Since I know how to add, it looks to me like the 360 had an awesome September overall, looking to rival the Wii in terms of consoles moved. So those saying that Halo had no effect are just crazy.

If that PS3 actually exists. But still, that's $120 difference between the two if a $399 PS3 does see the light of day. Parents on a budget are likely to take the lower price because they won't be informed of the "value" of a $399 PS3.
The PSP seriously needs great games. It has a lot of good ones, but few that are truly memorable.
I imagine that for as many years as Bungie has been doing Halo that they are tired of doing the same thing. So if it is true then good for them for taking a stand.

Only the CPU was emulated, not the graphics hardware. It sounds like the GS replacement has been dropped during the redesign of the internal components.
