I wouldn't expect to see games on HD-DVD in this generation. That would alienate 10+ million users in the install base.
Street Fighter 4! Awesome!
Lost Planet? Pretty much a waste of my $60.
I think it's funny how just as soon as the PS3 outsells the 360 for one week that it is all over for Microsoft.
Second-party games are still first-party exclusives since the first party is the one publishing them. The only exclusive PS3 games available now are those published by Sony. That's what he was trying to say. Most of the games on that list aren't even available, so no sense in even mentioning them.
I'm getting the PS3 version either way. That way I can play GHII again.
I bought the DVD version since I have a PS3. But the upscaling capabilities of the PS3 are phenomenal, so it's still going to look and sound fantastic.
Hmmm...I must have missed that article. Can you provide the link?
But if RFOM is the best FPS ever shouldn't they change COD's health system to be more like that of Resistance?
Makes little difference to me. I have both.
I like the first Saints Row. I'm looking forward to this one, too.
I agree with you. If Sony could have somehow helped keep the exclusives in the holiday 2007 window instead of seeing them slip into the 2008 window, that lineup with a $399 PS3 would have seen Sony walk away with Christmas.
I sure hope that game lives up to the hype.
I don't have a problem with DRM as long as fair use is respected. Buying a copy of a movie or game doesn't necessarily give you the right to do what you want to with the content.
No. I think the lowest you're going to see it is $399 through the holiday season.
A $400 PS3 will do well, especially with people who never had a PS2. That's the model that nobody is going to be able to lay their hands on this holiday season.
It takes too much money to keep up with PC gaming. At least for me. You have to pay pretty much the cost of a console every couple of years for video cards, hard drives and RAM upgrades. And in the past you only got about 3 years out of a CPU before that had to be swapped out, too. It seems to have slowed down some in recent years, but it still seems more costly overall.
I'm bad about this. I have at least a dozen 360 games that I've never finished and at least 4 PS3 games waiting on me to complete.
Good or not, it still looks like it works. Not that I would ever use it.
Using PGR as an example of lack of interest isn't really fair. PGR was never a system seller. Especially when you sit that next to a Gears of War or Halo 3. PGR3 was a launch title, but a decent one compared to what else there was.
The 360 isn't going anywhere for the next few years, and just because there aren't may 2008 games announced doesn't mean that there aren't any. The focus needs to be on the Holiday, not beyond. Pulling out 2008 titles may defer sales to 2008, which i...
I've never complained about the price of games. If there's something that I think costs too much I'll wait until I can get it used. As for people in Europe and Australia I do think that you guys are getting screwed on prices. But a large portion of that is taxes that the government is imposing, not greed from the corporations.
