Seems to me that Sony wouldn't want to allow the PS3 to play DivX movies since that seems to be a preferred format for sharing pirated movies over the internet. My guess is that the only support the format is going to get is video encoded by the PS3 itself.
I'm going to look for the PS3 version tomorrow, so I hope I find one.
This is what happens when the hype machine is out of control.
ReBurn wants Jak and Daxter on PS3, too.
Is that in-game or CGI?
Japan is very xenophobic. They aren't aching for all things western. It is a very select few things. Japan is huge on fads, and there are some products that come from other parts of the world that fall into that category. The 360 is hardly a fad in Japan, so it is at a disadvantage.
The Japanese people are fiercely loyal to Japanese businesses. Even though Microsoft has tried to introduce games that Japanese players would like, the company itself is what the Japanese people don...
The 21st century as a whole is making slow progress on the Czech front.
I played it at Gamestop the other day. It's a fun game. Easy to control with the thumbstick of the nunchuck.
Demo on Thursday? Sweet!
As opposed to the PS3 where Sony has to keep taking things away to get
people to buy it.
Just trying to think like you.
My guess is because having such a high number of players in a single match often makes the experience unbalanced. For less experienced players it often means that they'll die more quickly once they spawn because there's a better chance of someone else camping there waiting for them so that they can boost their kill counts.
This is something that I don't get. Why is there always an assumption that just because a company hasn't done something that they can't do it? Or would even ...
At its core the Cell is just a PowerPC processor that is supported by an array of subprocessors. The spin around Cell is the same as the spin around the Emotion Engine that powers the PS2. That chip was supposed to be the most powerful processor ever created, just like the Cell.
Are you talking about how a technically inferior console completely dominated the most powerful console that, at that time, had ever been created? Just wondering.
I own both systems, too. And I agree that the PS3 has some really good looking games. But looking good isn't what makes games enjoyable. I want the really good playing games to come out.
What is RROD proof of, exactly? I don't see how that validates anything that you said.
Except it hasn't been released yet.
Give it time. If it can be done, they'll figure out how.
It looks like that $399 PS3 is having the desired effect. It's even outselling the PS2 now, which is a feat considering how heavily invested in PS2 Europe is.
I'm curious to see how this model is going to do when it hits North America.
I never trust "official" magazine reviews since they are nearly always just a marketing tool for the console company. But this game probably deserves that rating.
People who trade games at GameStop are asking to lose money. Sell your used stuff on eBay. You get more money and GameStop gets the finger.
