Based on what?
My guess is that they didn't tell people about it because they don't want people to do it.
I'm not going to subject my 60gb to that. I'm not sure why someone would subject their 40gb to the fan test, either.
I'm still trying to figure out why people believe that the fans running at full speed is going to remove dust from the system. That's probably anecdotal at best. It would be pulling the dust out, not blowing it out. If your system is in a dusty area, as most places that store electronics are, you're probably more likely to pull as much dust in as you blow out anyway. And I doubt that the fans create enough of a vacuum within the box to make that happen if the case is properly ventilated.
I didn't disagree with you, but I do have a comment...
Too bad the games you mention are about the only truly awesome games on the PSP. It's just my opinion, but 98% of the PSP's library is garbage, just like the DS.
Sony is doing a tremendous job marketing the PSP, but most of the features that Sony is adding are ancillary to gaming. Skype? Nice touch, but doesn't make the games any better. I use mine for internet radio more than games these days, and I find that sa...
Now if Sony could just get developers to make awesome games for it. For a system with a library as large as the PSP there aren't very many true blockbusters.
I'm going to do all of the things that I always do. And when the game comes out I'll buy it and play it.
CONFIRMED: This is the most-hyped game of this generation. Wow. There is a ton of venom flying around among the fanboys and we're all going to get to play this game.
There are going to be millions of copies of GTA IV available on launch day. That game is not going to sell out. Rockstar would be turning away money otherwise.
Games just do not sell out like they used to.
The only game I ever had trouble finding a copy of on release day was Dead Rising, and I think that's because Capcom underestimated the demand. Every highly anticipated game I've wanted since then has been available in droves on the first day. There were literally dozens of copies everywhere of Madden 08, Assassins Creed, Uncharted, Mario Galaxy, Halo 3 and Brawl. The only one I can think of that really was in short supply was the Wii version of Guitar Hero 3.
There's no way she could have spilled something on it in two days, is there?
I had a good experience with Geek Squad. My laptop was under warranty when the hdd started flaking out. It left with a 60gb drive and came back with a 120gb drive. My only complaint is that I didn't get the old drive back, but oh well.
How much horsepower does it take to render a cartoon hedgehog?
It's going to take more than Kojima's name to make a great game. Personally, I think the guy is an arrogant jerk. But a lot of people bow down in hero worship. I don't get it.
This game is going to move consoles, bundles or not.
I wonder what it cost Sony to line that up?
Restoral?
I know, right? My first PS2 died from the DRE 4 months after I bought it. Sony refused to fix it unless I paid for it. For the cost at the time I figured I'd be better off buying a new one since it was like $190 total to have it fixed and shipped.
My second PS2 also died from DRE. My third one is still alive and kicking, though.
"Just" and optical drive problem? Is it not just as broken as if it some other failure?
I paid $500 for my 60gb PS3. If the optical drive fails it is a very big deal to me. I still have 3 months left on my warranty, so if it is going to break I hope it breaks before then.
Wow. I really do use internet radio on my PSP.
I'll buy Saints Row 2. I'll also buy GTA IV. I really enjoyed the first one and it had a lot to offer that GTA didn't. I love this genre, so the more games in it the better. Only a fool passes up a good game.
