I don't know if "discussion" is the word I'd use for the little chats people have here on N4G.
I don't know what they're talking about. I'm winning the console war.
But how do we know that's true? I doubt we'd ever see that scenario in this generation simply because of the production costs of a game that massive. Look at GTA IV. That game cost Rockstar $100 million and it all fit on one DVD on the 360.
There's more to it than the size of the storage medium. There are several variables that contribute to the quality of on-screen images. The size of the frame buffer, the amount of video RAM, the type of compression used for textures...there are many pieces to that puzzle. Streaming uncompressed textures from storage and shunting them through memory can be costly from a resource perspective, so not all PS3 games are going to have uncompressed textures.
I won't be surprised if ther...
Motorstorm loses cred for me because of the insane load times. It even has long load times when switching vehicles. I wouldn't put that game up on any pedestals as the pinnacle of PS3 gaming. It's good, but it is hardly a wonder. At least that's my opinion.
A 21% increase for the 360 and a 10% decrease for the PS3. That's confusing to you?
It just shows that the 360 isn't dead in Japan, even though it is in last place there.
You're right. Money is always involved. The console loyalists think that these companies develop games out of thanks for their loyalty or something, but the reality is that these companies are doing this to make money.
I would expect to see some SE games that are currently slated as 360 exclusive to make their way to the PS3. Just because they haven't been announced yet doesn't mean that they won't be.
The sooner that Sony figures that out the better shot the PS3 has of getting the best games.
Which PS3 games had to be toned down because of the 360? There's no reason for developers to not use "superior" features of a console if they are available to them. Look back at last gen. Multiplats nearly always took advantage of the greater graphical power of the Xbox over the PS2. Even back to SNES vs. Genesis. If the PS3 has superior capabilities that are not being used then it is squarely on the developers, not the competition.
I think that in this gen multiplats a...
I doubt that it matters how many discs it's on for the 360. People easily and accept multi-disc RPG's.
Why is he on a dangerous line? If these developers are so altruistic then doesn't it make sense that they would want their works to be enjoyed by as many people as possible? In any event, Japanese culture doesn't often see discontent within companies like people in Western cultures do. I doubt that there's much "bad blood" inside of Square-Enix.
But ping-pong does?
What's the last game that really sold out, though? I've been able to walk in and pick up every major release on the first day since the 360 released. Pre-ordering is a waste of time these days.
They weren't always the same company, though.
lol @ Sony Rep
People were upset with the game because they fell for the pre-release hype. Everyone built this game up in their minds as the best thing ever and then they were disappointed when it didn't deliver everything they thought it should have. Erase all of the hype and take the game at face value and it is good. Go into it expecting the best experience ever and it doesn't live up to that.
The new dashboard and avatars is not direct competition to Home. Home is more of a MMO, which the dashboard update clearly is not. I think that the new dashboard is more of a shot at grabbing the Wii's userbase than the PS3's.
So sad...
Clearly you didn't read the whole thing.
"[|GM|]: Want to feel you get really we so I can put just the head of my **ck inside you and use my hand to slowly move it around before plunging it fully into you and making you take it all."
What kind of joke is that?
