It may be selling better, but it is still behind its direct competitors in total units sold. So it has the lowest market penetration of the 3 main consoles. If the 360 price cut is actually permanent and not some sell-off gimmick like the 60GB PS3 price cut was (which is what prompted me to buy a PS3) then the PS3 is going to need a price cut.
Too bad that 6 months after you buy it the thing won't be top of the line any more. I couldn't in my wildest dreams justify buying a laptop for PC gaming.
I'm pretty sure we would have heard about a new Xbox if one were being released this year.
I can't wait for this game. I love Soul Calibur!
Since the game is only $40 now this makes it an even sweeter deal.
I wouldn't care if the install were mandatory. I'll install even if it's optional.
If the terms of use gives Microsoft that authority then I don't see what the guy's complaining about. Just change it and move on.
Some programmers are more expensive than others. For instance, Visual Basic programmers are less expensive than Java programmers right now. By at least $15 per hour.
Because the PS3 is custom hardware it is going to cost more to hire people that have experience with it. Not all programming is the same.
It just proves that gun control laws don't stop crime. If someone wants to commit a crime they're going to do it.
Wasn't up a few minutes ago.
Sony wouldn't have pulled it down if it were problem-free. I don't have it yet, but if it has problems that's good.
I'm fine if Microsoft comes in third this generation. I've enjoyed the games on my 360 and I feel as though I've more than gotten my money's worth.
The title of the article is misleading. But if Sony screwed it up I wish they'd keep doing it. The PlayStation brand has been one of my favorite sources of entertainment for more than a decade.
I have a 60gb PS3 and an Xbox 360 Premium. I don't yet know which version of the game I'm going to get, but it doesn't bother me either way. I have 13gb on the 360 and 39gb free on my PS3. I don't store music or movies on my consoles. I keep all of that on my laptop. So I'll be good either way.
For me the decision is Vader or Yoda I guess. I'm thinking Vader right now.
I find it funny that people automatically assume that there is some threat to Blu-Ray and start bashing the technology as useless. The article doesn't say anything about an intended use, so please stop filling that vacuum with useless speculation.
Just because Blu-Ray beat HD-DVD doesn't mean that there's no sense in companies doing research into new technologies. What's important here is that someone is looking for new uses for existing technology that might one day spark new, b...
Didn't Sony already go down the motion controlled road with the Sixaxis?
E3's jumped the shark. It's just a shadow of its former self.
Had Xbox Live gone down for maintenance people would have been proclaiming the end of Microsoft like they did after Christmas. Hopefully people understand that there are going to be times when the network has to go down so that it could be made better.
Heh. I just upgraded to 4.00 a few minutes ago. And now they're getting ready to update again.
That's a really lame FUD opinion piece. Is someone really so desperate that they are going to scrape the bottom of the barrel to post this? No console's future rests upon E3 2008. Microsoft's first party lineup that's been revealed so far for 2008 is pretty weak, so I hope that something great is revealed. But we have to stop this constant campaign of FUD against the different consoles.
We all share the same hobby here. It's crazy that people are trying to tear each other's guts ...
