I think that it would not be a simultaneous release if it went multiplat because it was built on what is essentially PS3 hardware.
I miss my Genesis. I had so much fun with it. Compared to the NES it was super-realistic. Heh.
Well, if it doesn't include bundles then how many did the PS3 sell? Because I sure don't see Sony out there posting in all caps about it.
I would imagine that the people who are going to complain about what the author had to say are people who do not have kids or people who are kids, but their parents won't let them play the game.
There is a big emphasis on death in the game, and for a very young child these kinds of stories can be influential. If some 5 year old loves Chewbacca, but sees his dad or older sibling chopping wookies to shreds it can be upsetting. I wish there were more people out there trying to help ...
You just better hope that your mom doesn't see that avatar that you have there. If she could be upset over a Star Wars game she'll blow a gasket for sure with that.
Ultimately technology will reach the point where digital distribution will be possible at current Blu-Ray quality. But even that faces an adoption process. The only way it will replace disc-based media is if content distributors just stop producing disc-based media.
Looks like that worked as expected.
Someone has clearly never played Mass Effect. 5 FPS? Please. Why try to make yourself look bad?
The 360 uses off-the-shelf components? I'd like to know where I can get a triple-core Xenon processor for my PC!
This is one guy's opinion. Just because he likes Sony more than he likes Microsoft or Nintendo doesn't make this blog post credible.
I like free content. I'm looking forward to this. I wonder if they put drivers in the cars?
So what they're saying is that the PS2 and PSP carried them through again.
Ugh! I'm so afraid that's going to happen to mine. Glad they're getting you hooked up, though.
The first Motorstorm was really fun (once the thing actually loaded :) )
I'd like to try the demo. But what's up with having to be invited? I'm getting a bit concerned about all of the by invitation only stuff that's starting. I guess it's one way to promote Qore, right?
Nope. Look back at historical numbers. This time of year always has a bit of a lull because people are holding their purchases for the holiday season.
Sorry to rain on your parade, rhood022, but the $199 system is the Arcade, not the Core. So it comes with that memory card. Neither hard drive nor Xbox Live subscription is necessary. So out of the box you're capable of playing 99.9% of the 360's library for $199. Also, you don't need to buy a 120GB hard drive if you want a hard drive. You can get a smaller one for less.
The "look what you really pay" posts are the most desperate posts of all.
Yep, the Wii has won 2008. You can't leave it out just because you don't like it.
The bottom line is that in current generation sales the Wii is in the lead, followed by 360 with the PS3 bringing up the rear. If you want to highlight how badly the PS2 and PSP have been thrashing the PS3 since it was released then by all means continue to do so. Sony has to find a way to convert those PS2 sales into PS3 sales before Nintendo and Microsoft do.

Why the damage control? Does it hurt that bad that Microsoft sold 10k more in America?
The truth is that nobody knows what is going to happen next year. The new 360 pricing may be enough to jump start sales for those folks who were waiting on a $200 price point.
You're the Sony Rep. Why don't you tell us Sony's plan for this holiday?
I think that there were good sales numbers all around. Really good stuff.
Microsoft deserves their props this month. Hopefully it spurs publishers to give us more of the gaming goodness that we all love.
Sony doesn't advertise the PS3 as a Blu-ray player? Is that what you meant to say?
