I don't think that Google needs to be into gaming. I have a suspicion that Google feels the same way.
I'll be playing this tonight!
I bought the PS3 version. I played both demos and I liked how the PS3 version felt better. Graphically identical, but the PS3 controller just worked better for me.
I certainly prefer discs. I just fear the day when the choice is taken away.
Every bit of what you said is anecdotal. The same old tired "if Microsoft would have done X then Y would have happened" stuff. Nobody knows any of that stuff to be true, even in hindsight. What's true is that there are still more games sold per console for the 360 than the PS3 or Wii, so Microsoft must be doing something right.
If you'll recall it was the PS3 that Rockstar was pointing their fingers at when GTA IV was delayed for 6 months, not the 360. So clearly the G...
I'm completely serious. Versions for specific consoles get canceled all the time. If the 360 is really such a hindrance then just don't make that version. Every time I hear that the platform held a developer back I just cringe. That's nothing but an excuse. They intentionally do it because they want to sell as many copies as possible. A gimped 360 version means fewer 360 sales. So they can wad up that creative freedom crap they like to throw around and flush it.
It looks good. I hope it lives up to the hype. What I worry about with the user-created content is that for every really cool level someone builds there will be 100 that totally suck. I really hope there's a good rating system.
It's going to take awesome exclusives and a mass-market price.
One thing to remember is that developers do not have to gimp the PS3 version of a game because of the 360, if they so choose. If the PS3 has the power then it is the discretion of the developer whether to use it or not. So the "360 is holding back the PS3" arguments are baseless, really. They can make the game of their dreams if they so choose.
It's a poor craftsman who blames his tools.
The game is different from the demo. But it isn't unusual, really. The Crackdown demo had you level up much faster than the real game did.
In this case I don't think it was false advertising. I think I got pretty much what I expected from the game. I'll be playing it again later tonight.
On a side note, I thought it was pretty interesting how many people were coming into Gamestop earlier today to claim their copies. I bought mine from Walmart, but I went next door to...
The PS2 had a powerful CPU and a so-so GPU. The graphics very quickly started to look blocky and outdated when the Xbox and it's superior graphics hardware came on the scene. That's not to say that there weren't some great experiences on the PS2, because I still play many of my PS2 games on my PS3. But from a pure visual perspective it seemed that the developers had to work too hard to get the visuals because very few games set a graphical bar.
I think it is too early to tell wit...
To each his own, right? I like the idea of achievements and trophies because they me a reason to re-play the game. It is personal incentive for me. If people don't like them, that's fine.
Proud owner here, too. There was nothing like bringing the Sega arcade experience home. Crazy Taxi and Soul Calibur are still regulars in my rotation.
I'm going to give the Xbox 360 demo a whirl tonight. I thought that the PS3 demo was an ok experience, but I haven't fired it up on the 360 yet.
I didn't have very high hopes for the Wii version. I wish that the duel mode existed in the PS3 and 360 versions, because I think that could be a really cool feature. But aside from that I never thought that the Wii version would excel.
I still don't think that developers other than Nintendo have figured out a good way of using the Wii's motion controls.
I won't buy the DLC.
Are pirates really going to respond truthfully to a piracy survey?
More blogs. As long as I have fun games to play I don't care who wins the "console wars". Video games have been a part of our lives for the last 30 years and I don't see anything in the current generation taking it all.
Windows runs on Macs. Microsoft doesn't make PC's. Bandwagon much?
