I thought they already made a God of War movie, it was called 300 I believe.

Just kidding, but I remember 300 making me think of the God of War game, "This is Sparta!" could have been yelled by Kratos

Pre-ordered a while ago since I like almost all Atlus\SMT's games. However to be honest, the game I would like to hear is being worked on is Persona 5 for the PS3.

Kratos would not care about 20g or 200g, they are both negligible weights to him ;-)

Most likely cost cutting.

Definitely agree with that, choices are good.

Not being tied to a movie script and movie release deadline seems to be a key ingredient for better franchise games.

That's great news, I really need a demo to make my mind up because I'm still on the fence with this game. A game being delayed and changing direction can end up being disappointing or being a winner. Too hard too tell without actual hands-on.

There's a lot of puzzles that takes some time to figure out through trial and error so unless you are playing from a guide (kind of cheating) or have played it before, most gamers will not make those speed run times in their first normal playthrough.

Also, if it takes a guy 2-3 playthroughs to get a short time and "prove" the game is short and therefore not worth to be bought, in reality if you add the time of each playthrough it just shows the game has replayability an...

If you played and liked either Infamous or Prototype then you should like Crackdown. It's a sandbox game where you are free to proceed at your own pace, lots of exploration and as you gain power-ups it makes it feel like a super-hero game. It has a cartoon\cell shaded look so it's not for people who look for realistic looking games.

I used Gamefly for the first one and ended up liking it enough to use the "keep it" option. However I will still be cautious and use Gamefly again for the sequel due to the change in direction.

Good write up. I also partially agree and have raised similar fears in previous postings. I don't think current core gaming would ever disappear but it could become more of a niche market. Just as the popularity rise of consoles stole some spotlight and some developers/games away from the PC gaming market, so will casual gaming do unto current core gaming.

I'm right there with you, willing it to give it a try as long as there is no long term contract needed. It's funny, in another post I said their news better be a launch date, and it is.

I think they are better off launching now and improve the service over time rather then keep tweaking it forever and go out of business in the meantime.

I agree, I won't be interested in either Natal or Arc unless it's applied to non-casual games. It should also be optional just to avoid a repeat of Lair. Choice is good.

@10.6 most games are already modeled in 3D so games for 3D displays don't have to be gimmicky, they can be the same games we have now, just with a visual pop-in. For me the biggest drawback is the price of replacing the current (perfectly working) equipment. The secondary drawback is having to wear glasses. For both these reasons, I will wait an iteration or two for the prices to drop further and see if solutions without glasses become commercialized.

The only relevant news would be an actual launch date, anything else will just reinforce the notion that this may become the new "Phantom"

Corrwin, from what I read 3D will work on PS3 using some tricks and only at 1080i. For real 1080p 3D, HDMI 1.4 will be needed. That means a new TV, new Blu-ray player, glasses, and if using an A/V receiver then a new A/V receiver to support HDMI 1.4.

So do developers need to make 3 similar games using a common save file or do they make one game for the lowest platform and it runs in emulation in the other 2 platforms?

The mother isn't any better apparently: "the child's mother was in the room with the child at the time of the incident".

Somebody called?

Seriously, it looks really good. As many have pointed out the lighting which is an important factor in this game looks very well made.

As far as comparisons with UC2 and GOW3, what is the point? People that aren't limiting themselves to one console get to enjoy all those great games.

Given MS history of pricing things, I would expect 3 options, camera only, camera and 1 game, camera+games+Live card. So maybe those rumored prices reflect the bigger bundle.

If the Arc is an option, that's all good.

If it is forced as the only control option, then this could be as bad a disaster as the original Lair.

Hopefully they are smarter than that.

Edit: ah ah Fishy Fingers, you beat me to it! I agree 100%
