I agree that besides actually working well that price is the biggest factor here.

If their service is subscription based to compete with the likes of Gamefly, $xx/month for unlimited playtime, then it might be interesting.

However, if they get greedy and they try to make it pay to play as in $xx/per minute, then it will be too expensive for frequent gamers.

I was upset at first also but not anymore for two reasons:

1. They look to have made a good job at incorporating almost all the Okami gameplay elements in this game and it looks decent for a handheld

2. By releasing a new game, even though a handheld one, they will increase exposure of Okami to more gamers and make a future sequel more likely, maybe one day on consoles again. It's a better alternative than letting this great franchise die.

Please don't use wiimote waggling instead of an attack button, that's my only complaint with TP

For people that have the newer motherboards, yes, the 360 is more reliable now.

My first unit was replaced a few times but the last time they changed the motherboard and it has been fine since. I also bought a second one (latest motherboard) for another setup and it's been running great.

I still hear friends who have problems from time to time but they are are almost always older consoles or refurbished.

So in short I feel I can recommend again to famil...

Actually "gamer71" with a little bit more research your example just re-inforce the validity of the articles and most posters above.

If you get the official brand as you pointed out it costs you $25 for 8MB.

However, not having blocked them (thus offering a real choice) you can get a 32MB from the same price by going to an unofficial brand or for $5 more get a 64MB for 8x better capacity than the official brand.

In fact next generation, I might not get the Nintendo console for the first time in years. They have chosen their market (kids, seniors, casuals) and...

That's funny we said almost the same thing at the same time (see above).

I like diversity and Kameo was one of the rare platformer this generation.

I agree, it was a good entry title. Would have been interesting to see them expand on that with a sequel.

I was disappointed too at first but thinking about it, it's possible they are doing that to reach more players and get more people interested in the series. Then when they do VC3 on console again, it will attract and bring over more players than the first game and help keep the franchise alive. If so, it may benefit us gamers in the end.

Realistically I think DD in the medium to long term is only a challenge to DVDs and only for the tech savvy.

Interesting quote from the article "According to Disney president Bob Chapek, the Keychest project is unlikely to deliver ‘tangible financial results’ before 2015"

So they don't expect major market share soon either.

I agree with you, I brought it up before in a thread a while ago. Both trophies and achievements should be optional. A user should be able in their profile to enable or disable them completely with the default of "enabled". Such a choice would be a win-win for all types of gamers.

In my opinion when it's a new IP, there should always be a game demo for it. So people can try it and have a chance to be hooked by it and buy it. (Live does that for all games, I think PSN and Wiiware should do too)

What are we supposed to do, buy everything just to try it? Most gamers are on a budget, that doesn't make sense.

That being said, I bought it after a friend explained what the game was and recommended it. It's a fun fresh take on Tetris and games lik...

I don't know why someone disagreed with you, maybe they don't have Gamefly where they live.

Gamefly (or similar rental service) is great to try games you are unsure you will like when there are no demos. It is also great for cases like this (ODST) where you want to play an expansion pack but don't want to pay the full price.

@ 1.1 The D-Pad is something that puzzles me. They do all these hardware revisions and SKU changes. Yet they never revised their controller to fix the D-Pad? Most people would have gone and bought new controllers just for an improved D-Pad. It puzzles me that Microsoft never did this, more money for them. What am I missing?

I think the last 2 you mentioned are positive only if they are optional (they can be bundled in a system, just not required for developpers to used them).

For example, except for puzzle games, I prefer to avoid the touch screen on the DS and use the buttons instead. If Sony or Nintendo ever went to a touchscreen only handheld (like the iPhone is doing for games), that would be the end of handheld gaming for me.

Same with motion controls, I think offering this choice...

It's a fun lighthearted game. Great for kids old enough to spell or adults who can still get in touch with their "inner kid".

It's not a serious game to be analyzed and dissected like some are doing. Sure you could view some of the objects as just "skins" but it still allows the player to exercise their imagination, try to come up with something new and original, and then see it happen.
