Her hair is actually quite next-gen for the in-game engine. Not too long ago, video game characters were still stuck with fixed hair or spiky hair with minimal movement.

It's easy to make a next-gen character with a rugged face (texture) and short hair or an helmet. To make a character with flowing hair during combat is quite a next-gen feat.

As for the gameplay, the demo seemed to me to land between God of War (setting, story, world) and Ninja Gaiden (combos, el...

That would be quite a conflict on interests. Having millions in Microsoft stocks even if he were to leave, he would have personal gain in turning EA into making exclusives just for the 360.

I'm not going to agree or disagree on the fanboy part, I'm sure it is a factor for some people.

However I think there might be truth to some negative effect from being a multi-platform game because it diverts their attention and they can't focus as much. If you look at most of the best reviewed and award winning games each year (except sport games), they were initially single platform games. Some were ported a year or two later, but that's different. At the other end of the ...

I also agree. The quality of Ubisoft games seem to have been going down lately. Everyday they are becoming more and more like EA.

The truth is that they don't get to charge individually for each unit they repair because then more repairs would always be good business for them. In actuality, a repair center will make an estimate of how much to charge per units for average repairs of different kind, estimate how much of each type of repair they expect, and then make a ballpark deal whereas they will charge X amount of money for Y amount of repair units for a time Z.

More than likely, repairs have been more...

Sony isn't Microsoft, bashing competitors is not classy and it is not the Japanese way. Sony needs to concentrate on new games for their consoles. Microsoft needs to concentrate on fixing their hardware.

I agree with you MK_Red, Eurogamer can sometime be overly harsh on some of their reviews. Another good exemple is their review of RE4 for the Wii, they gave it only 7/10 while all others gave it 8, 9 and above. So as a result, Eurogamers' reviews have lost some of their relevance for me.

It's great for games like Forza 2 (360) and F1 (PS3) to include driving aid. It makes the game accessible to more gamers and yet hardcore pros can still turn off that feature for extra challenge.

I think all games of all genre should include a wide range of difficulty settings to make their games appeal to a wide range of gamers (I'm looking at you Ninja Gaiden, wink wink).

Square is being smart and keeping their options open. If a game like Blue Dragon does well on the US market and the FPS-centric 360 core audience, then I could see them bringing FFXIII or rather FFvsXIII to the 360. If Blue Dragon has disappointing US sales, they might decide not to. They have the option.

Shadow Flare, based on your sense of humor (which I share), you might enjoy GTA mario: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Maybe they will do just like Spielberg's ET remake, replace all the guns with walkie-talkies. That would be hilarious.

By the way, I played RE4 on the Gamecube and it was by far the best game on the Gamecube and one of the best game of the year for me. So I am not making fun of RE4, just about this censoring for the Wii.

I think the idea of playing a sport with the actual equipment is a nice concept and would be a great feat for visual recognition. However, given the personal injuries and damaged TV that occured early on with people not using the Wiimote strap or the strap breaking, I can picture even more injuries and destruction by someone wielding a full size racket in a living room, then I picture a golf club and the potential for pain and destruction, and then I picture an HDTV with a bowling ball embos...

I completely agree, for its time (GC launch) it was a good game and unlike all the other games on the GC back then. If they make a sequel, I think the 360 platform is most likely since it's the one that SK are using now and it would fit better with those gamers. A PS3 version would work too but I wouldn't hold my breath, Dyack has not said kind things about it.

Given how long it has taken SK to come up with Too Human, maybe they should just sell the license to someone else. A...

This has become one of my favorite gaming site for getting news about many consoles without being overwhelmed by trolls. This site isn't perfect in that regard but much better than other previously impartial sites that became overrun by one side or the other.

Some have suggested silencing those that go down to zero bubbles (for a limited time) and some have suggested to limit contributors. I would suggest that to help in controlling the "trolling" that both features ...

I think such device would only work for a niche market such as home movie theater for the rich and famous.

Like jedicurt mentions, for the size of TVs that people can fit in their house, the extra resolution won't make a difference.

I rather think that the next generation of TVs to come to people' houses will have more to do with extra colors, better contrast ratio, thinner, etc.

I think this is a much better direction than attempts like XNA and Linux tools for the PS3. Consoles have become too complex for regular people to make decent games by themselves on their spare time.

However, providing a solid game with a level builder and other customization, is a realistic approach for people wanting to mold a game to their tastes and it allows them to share with other people.

Hopefully, this becomes a trend.

You know what they say: "If ain't broken don't fix it." In this case people loved the first two games. They should just make a better one with improvements and maybe some new elements but changing direction so drastically would be quite a mistake. That kind of move could really hurt that specific franchise (not Star Wars of course, just KOTOR).

novapunkX, the nunchuck only gives you one thumbstick. Very sub-optimal for any 3D games like most honest PSP users would attest.

It is funny to hear the term "irrational exuberance" used again. It brings back memories of Greenspan predicting the stock crash way ahead of people that were in denial. As gimmicky as the Wiimote can be for some games, it does add value for some other games like Wii-Sports. So I think the "irrational exuberance" applies here not in the sense that the Wii won't sell millions and millions but rather that people expecting it to redefine gaming will need to have a reality re...

Motion sensing is a neat gimmick for some games but it doesn't make sense for all games. At least with the SIXAXIS, for regular games you are still left with a nice dual thumbstick controller. With the Wiimote, you are left with a sideways old-fashioned minimal controller with a D-pad. Of course, you can plug in a classic extension or get an old Gamecube controller, but it means more $ on accessories and more juggling controllers and connection.

The bottom line is that motion s...
