"Piracy is quite concerning on the PS"? You could've fooled me - I haven't heard of a single PS3 game being pirated. I'd be more concerned about your partnership with Microsoft, Square Enix: the 360 is the one with piracy problems.
I don't normally pay much attention to these articles, and in truth I think any year is a good year for consoles - but I was logging into Home the other night, looking at all the insanely great games coming out, downloading a few new ones from the Store, and it hit me:
The PS3 is poised for a major steamroll. That doesn't mean the competition is going to be crushed - far from it. What it does mean is that the PS3 is picking up speed and strength at an exponential rate; and that...
That's the bottom line. It's life without the consequences, a chance to unleash your primordial id and really go nuts - in a safe, cathartic way. Blowing the crap out of a bunch of pixels really can be soothing if you're having a bad day. Yes, peaceful games can be relaxing too; but if I'm in a bad mood, I wanna blow something up. I don't want to feel tranquil - I want to indulge in mindless mayhem.
And hey, maybe I'm feeling a little...anxious, if you know what I mean. Sure...
..What? Really?? Bethesda's having major bug problems???
Say it ain't so.
Actually, "Random Bullshit 4 Gamers" might not be a bad re-titling for the site; considering the crap that gets approved. Why are we reading some random dude's opinion article instead of one from a more credible site? Why was it submitted in the first place? And why was it approved?
Hey, whatever. I'm just saying, is all.
I know it's a lot of money to put on the line, but if you've got a stellar director and a good script, you can make it happen.
Christ, if only more movie studios would sack up instead of worrying about the bottom line when it comes to telling a good story - I'd actually be paying attention to 'coming attractions'.
Focus exclusively on making it affordable and you'll kill any significant chance of its success. Doesn't matter how good the director is; if you hamstring...
Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware. Not paying until you see the goods is a good policy; checking boxes before you leave; checking receipts to make sure the cashier didn't overcharge you; etc etc.
For stuff like eBay there's a complaint process. Read carefully and don't buy from anyone below a 100% approval rating if you can help it. Check comments from other buyers...etc etc.
It'd be nice if more people were honest (and/or intelligent) but it's your money, so t...
WoW...that's actually kinda sad. I suppose ideally one would be a brain in a vat hooked up to a VR set and life-support system connected eternally to WoW.
Dear God: please do something about all the Hip-Hop L@mer articles being approved. I know even You can't stop people from submitting them, but please - appear in a vision, send divine AOL Messengers, text them - I don't care what You do, but make the approval stop!
Because if You can't, I might have to sell my soul to You-Know-Who to make it happen. ..Amen.
It was all right. Could've been a lot creepier though - too much 'shoot the soldiers'. Dead Space, on the other hand, I am playing through on Impossible mode for the Platinum Trophy; and it STILL makes me jump. Can't wait for the sequel.
I think you got those disagrees for that ridiculously long comment. It's bad enough I read the above snippet from HHG; but a 2 page essay about it is even worse.
If people can get something for free instead of paying for it, they likely will; and questions of whether or not it's right go out the window for the majority.
In any case, I assure you the pirate community is watching carefully; and this ruling is only going to encourage a new spate of piracy. Different applications, different methods, who knows - but it's going to be seen as a direct challenge, and nothing motivates a hacker like a direct challenge to his 'right' to hack.
..By the unholy Red Ring of Death; how do HHG articles keep getting approved on this site?
I mean honestly - are there still people who take it seriously? Stop approving their articles! Since HHG news can be equated to furious self-abuse, you'll go equally blind by reading it.
How long before ISPs jack up the price via 'minimum use' fees if you aren't consuming enough bandwidth to turn a profit?
You can theorize all you want, but big business is hurting and they're coming after your wallet. And your life savings. And your pension.
You've been warned...in the end it is the consumer who pays the ultimate price. Certainly it won't be the corporate CEOs, floating down from their corrupt, collapsing empires on golden parachutes that we had t...
It'd be funny if Apple lashed back with an ad about how PCs are 'your mother's computer'. Ironically, it'd essentially be the same message.
Niiice, EA. Can we still keep the garrote wire and the .357 Mag? So we can, uh, 'properly dispose' of a few other things?
I tell ya one thing; whoever came up with this brilliant idea's going to be sleeping with the fishes. And EA might just get whacked too - with a lawsuit.
I can't believe someone actually disagreed with a joke. Must really be bored...
Looks awful. And boring.
<YAWN> Think I'll pass.
Yeah, my left trigger is kinda loose now - causes problems sometimes. Sony could've done a better job with the ergonomics.
