SR3 was my letdown of the year. If someone hadn't played any of the previous games and likes pure silliness then yes SR3 is probably for them.
But I liked that SR2 blended the crazy and the serious WITHOUT going overboard either way, and had lots to do to boot(plus told a decent story).
SR3 does none of that. Bad story, little to do in way of activities, and completely overdone in the silly/stupid/crazy factor.

While I am not sure about this game, I am sometimes irritated by the fact a lot of games usually limit various groups of races to stereotypical roles or behaviour.
Sometimes you'll see a (game)studio trying something different, I just wish it would happen more often.
As long as they don't follow what Saints Row 3 did they will be fine.
I don't know WTF they were thinking, but to me SR3 was completely RUINED for me by having a really, really rubbish story.
If they had kept the story good(as they did with the previous game) and kept the silliness mostly separate it would have been much better.

League of Draven actually sorta has a point.
The Elder Scrolls series seemed to step down content-wise with each release. Morrowind had all kinds of stuff(places,etc), and I bet if I played it again I'd STILL find stuff I hadn't seen before.
Oblivion..while it looked better had less. Still lots to see, but less to do.
And Skyrim. To be honest I enjoy it better if I don't even start the main quest. Laziness appears throughout...
Bethesda's games I play on PC, simply because of mods. A lucky thing too otherwise I would be PISSED at their treatment of the PS3.
Really, if people are still buying their games on PS3(which are always broken) you have no one to blame but yourselves.
You know they can't seem to do it right, so why do you keep lining up to buy the games?? It makes no sense.

I thought it was funny when it first started for a few episodes. It seemed less random then(I think). Last few times I tried watching it the show just seemed like a bunch of random nonsense.
The game is good but it isn't some sort of holy grail of gaming.
In my opinion both games had a weak story. AA was better story-wise until the end.
That felt like some sort of easy way out, and AC just made me think, "Is that it??" story-wise. They could have done better.

A system could be the most powerful thing on the market, have freakin' self aware AI but if the games suck what good is it?
Games make the system people. Games that are fun and entertaining are what matters, not how many teraflops or gigwads a cpu clocks at or whatever.
I'm not even interested in the Wii, but am sick of the general BS from gamers going back and forth on issues like this.

Nintendo Power was one of the first game mags I remember reading. Even though I haven't own an Nintendo system since SNES I am still bothered by this.
I still have old issues of Game Pro(I think) comparing the graphics of Genesis and SNES, reviews of the early Mortal Kombat games...etc.
With the fact that most broadband companies are doing data caps, digital gaming is a problem.
I personally am not interested in it, I like my physical media, and if digital gaming ever became the mainstream then I'm probably done with gaming.
Too many things can go wrong, hard drives go bad, networks can go down, then what? Without your physical disk you are pretty much stuck.
I wish they would talk about the rumored new slims. I really, really need to buy a new ps3 but I'm trying to hold out for new hardware.
I see this game getting good reviews but I will wait and see what my fellow gamers have to say. Too many "professional" reviewers are being paid for good scores I believe or simply aren't allowed to be brutally honest in some cases, or just don't know what they are talking about.
Example: Saint's Row 3. Got praises all over, but the game was WEAK compared to Saint's Row 2 in every way except the graphics and some of the vehicles(jetbikes).

When I finally beat Shinobi I traded it off and never wanted to see it again. That game nearly drove me insane.
Nightshade was a walk in the park compared to it.
I'm just not into PC gaming. I play a few games like Bethseda's games on pc, The Witcher, Sims...and a handful of others(Old School stuff too).
I have no interest in having to upgrade every so often, don't care about having the best of fastest vid card and so on.
